A under 16 lad got a 9 game suspension for celebrating a wicket in the GF

Visible on frog Box clarely shows the batter went at the bowler

Yet batter no sanction

No formal process the family appealed and the suspension went from 3 to 9

The report was lodged but the opposition team cause they didn’t like itb

My understanding is that the family is gonna fight hard

I note the A3 game was scheduled there this weekend and has been relocated.

As of this moment its saying Souths opponent is TBD i n the A1s, is there some kind of protest going on? Maybe thats why the A3 game was moved because if Sandy Creek are awarded a win they would be hosting the A1s.

The whole SACA thing running the show has been a debacle.
Our A3s have played 6, 6 and 7 days at home in the last 3 years and we have 3 ovals, work that out.I think the A1 final will be over on Saturday night, cant trust Mallala.
Eudunda to choke in the 2s

No punches

He ran down the wicket to celebrate
As the batter was walking off he bumped the bowler

Bowler 3 games but the appealed became 5 games 4 suspended

The batter not cited

It’s on frogbox clearly visible

That was the 2nd player that bowler made contact with after a dismissal and the 3rd overall for the team, albeit that the other one was quite minimal and it appears as though an immediate apology was made.

The lads excitement needs to be reigned in now before it gets worse, a suspension is warranted.

Gee there were some very poor dismissals in the game and some absolute howler LBW decisions.

Looking at other games as well as this one, it appears as though dissent isn’t recognised, perhaps because the poor decisions are common?

Did the bowler actually make contact with the batter? Hardly looks like it….

I’m not sure suspending a 15 year old kid for being excited really makes sense either.

How does the batter go uncited for throwing an elbow??

You want to suspend a lad for being excited but the batter get off free?

Were you one of the idiot parents who then abused the kid?

I'm only going by the footage provided, to me it looks as though the bowler made contact with the batter, I didn't defend the batter at all.

I applaud good perfomances from both teams in games that I am involved with and it's probably why have coached several associaton sides at every level, abusing opposition junior players is disgraceful and the perpetrators should be handed suspensions from attending.

I take great offence to your last line.

Doesn't look like any malice intended to me from either player. They just ended up in each other's space and there was a mini spot fire.

Certainly there was nothing unusual about the path the bowler took, or where the batter walked. Neither seemed to be doing a Kohli and looking for contact.

Would think a discussion about taking extra care to mind the batsman's space following a dismissal is all that's needed here. Surprised there's a suspension, let alone an extremely lengthy one.

Suspend him now and he might learn a lesson. 2 wickets he made contact from the videos. You shouldn’t be getting that close celebrating a wicket.
The abuse is not called for and the batter should also be given a suspension.

Do that in a senior comp and the retaliation could be much worse

Would think as well that this is the perfect opportunity for a suspended sentence.

If the tribunal think the bowler has erred and is getting too close to the batsmen, then a warning with a 2-3 game suspended sentence hanging over him for the next couple of seasons.

Fair assessment, I would've though a coach could have had a quiet word to the lad at some stage after he got in the grill after an earlier wicket.

We can all get a little caught up in the moment during a GF, especially a young quick.
