My last post was not a prediction but the team that has been selected. Havnt been told of anyone unavailable. Only 2 of those prop deserve to be in there?

I read it as whichgrade believes there are 2 Props players that DON'T deserve to be in there. I agree if Carmody is a decent spinner as stated on here, we could of brought in another quick.

I do not disagree Larry, but as i said i did hear Carmody had a wedding on and was unavailable. Cannot confirm as yet. I cannot guess the two props who do not deserve to be there, perhaps the poster who said that would let us know who he was referring to so we can comment. As for pav and gillett i stand corrected but i think past performances at combined level have not been the best. Tough job for mal but i believe he has come up with a very good team considering the lack of cricket played.

Well done Squids, was it a guess or do you have inside information. Was it you mentioned it was written in the constitution. That would explain it and it is great to see someone does what the constitution says. Well done mal.

I had my guess before I got a copy of the rules, the rules are not strictly followed obviously. No I have no inside knowledge, I do not know many of the higher ups in Pirie cricket.

The team in pretty spot on either through a large amount of Props players, there is no one setting the house on fire that hasn't been picked. Probably hasn't been many 50's scored in Agrade this year so as said, hard to pick a team. I hope the team does well, would be nice to beat PA in cricket since we can not do it in the footy.

Just got back from having a few pots at the front bar of the Sporties thanks to a great run from Mr Snitzerland in Race 1 at Flemington
Sporties' and Solly's main main Martlew would be no doubt very happy with Ash Johnson's deserved selection in the combined team.
A few whispers at the front bar that a senior cricketer from Props' B Grade may have made some inquiries about playing the match against Wandies this week at Port Oval.
I assured the person who had heard that that it wouldnt be right as this issue was quite amicably voted on at a recent meeting and Props, as they are entitled to, clearly voted as a Club not to play at Port Oval. But he seemed adamant that Murph and Rob Jeffries had been asked about moving the game to Port.

Assume you are talking about the b grade game.Obviously what you say is difficult to prove but it wouldn't surprize me. Perhaps i could even guess who the offender was if there is any truth in it. You are quite right on the voting business, props along with four other clubs voted down the original program. Some have said it is not a valid point, in fact it is, 3 people failed to vote, if they had it, likely would have been 6 to 5 to adopt the original program and we all would be playing at the port. Perhaps the player concerned if in fact what you say is true should direct questions to the three officials concerned. It would be irresponsible of port and the ppca executive to allow that to happen. And murph along with rob jeffries would have no say on the matter anyhow. I may be wrong but i dont think they would kick the combined game off for prop b grade to play there. If there is any truth in it maybe the senior prop b grade player should get a clearance to risdon, wandies or southport.

i would be very dissapointed with props integrity as a club if they allowed their b grade to play on port oval after the massive song and dance they made about not playing on it.

btw i heard a few weeks ago even before the vote that props would try and get their b grade games moved to port if the vote got passed

To me it sounds like more than a couple disagreements,

sounds like the club needs to come together and decide their view.
