Very nice mate. Lets hope he comes back close to his best and i dare say he will go alright.

The last game he played IIRC was against South Road in the GF at home where he took 5/60 or so and made 60 with the bat

Really? Being captain sucked when it was only ball money you had to (try to) gather up! :D

Yeah mate. usually the vice captains do it in most grades. Bloody worked a treat last year. Ended up with a lot more subs $$ being paid, and a lot less chasing come the end of the year. Subs money - before day 1 play. Ball money - before day 2 play. Easy as you like

Moe wrote:Just a little note on what will be on offer at Morphy Parks for the T20 double header on Sunday.

Bar open from noon with $5 pints of Super Dry, Dirty Draught & 5 seeds cider. $5.50 stubbs.
BBQ from noon with Steak Sangers, Roo burgers, Bacon & Egg sangers + the odd snag rolled in.
Every batsman & bowler will be introduced by music selected by DJ Divot, with WYC theme song "It's Rainin Men" being a popular choice for Game 1.

Now we understand that some clubs may bring an esky or 2, but we would appreciate some support for the bar as we have to raise enough cash to get Gillespie & Lehmann to play next season. Plus we are having cameo's from Harry Kewell, Rafa Nadal & Mark Webber in our A's next year. Can't let Plympton have all the fun ;)

Weather looks great, so maybe an appearance from some women on trampolines every time a six is hit might be a possibility as well.

Can't wait :partyman: :ymparty: \m/

nice work Moe!

T20 ROUND 1:

MARYMOUNT OVAL Keswick v/s Mitchell Park 12.15 start

ICC Sharks v/s Cove 3.30 start

DENHAM RESERVE Morphy Pk. v/s WYC 12.15 start

Coromandel v/s South Road 3.30 start

SHEIDOW PRIMARY Sheidow Park v/s Plympton 12.15 start

Nth. Haven v/s Belair 3.30 start

CLAPHAM PRIMARY Clapham v/s Glenelg ANA 12.15 start

Warradale v/s Coro. Ramblers 3.30 start

My Tips: Keswick to win by a big big amount.
Cove to account for ICC. Diener will have a big say in this game though.
WYC to follow on from last year and beat Morphys again at Morphys. Hopefully we skittle them for bugger all again
Coromandel to win on forfeit against South Road ;) Think Coro should just get up
Sheidow. Harvey and Neal to dominate
North Haven. Theyll bounce back after last years GF loss
Clapham in a suprise win. Glenelg dont have the bowling depth for a t20 game IMO.
Ramblers. Back up last years flag with a big win over warradale. Is lurch playing again this year in any format?

Is lurch a ramblers player or a warradale player?

We have a new captain for Twenty20 this year. Josh 'Ralph' Lourens will take charge of Coromandel and hopefully lead us to our first ever T20 win. Fair to to say it hasnt been our strength the last few years :) looking forward to it !!

Looking forward to a big day at Plympton tomorrow, once again I extend an invitation to all clubs to come down and have a look. We've got a 1dayer so should go a bit longer than other games. We'll crank up the BBQ, cox plate on the screens, Aker on the field... Let's have some fun!

Yes I know that's what u meant.

Some old barflies at plympton still call me Chad, and I've only been part of the plympton furniture for 29 years.
