Brad didn't play A's last season, is that Longies or Dublin??

;)

No probs, I didn't realize you guys had a team til I seen your post on the Stanley Cricket thread, would be a sensational oval to bat on.

Awesome cricket oval mate. Is a summer grass so its at its worst in the winter when you've seen it (not that its too bad then either). Gives every one a chance really, cause its a quick oval but extremely even grass coverage so there really isn't any bad bounces for the fielding side.

Will be following this league and interesting to see how Dubby go. Will probably watch a few games at Dublin when I can.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Looking forward to playing Rosies first up though, should be a good test for us, we've gained as good as we've lost IMO, that's if everyone is available.

Our B grade I imagine will look very different to last seasons, 3 of our top 4 wicket takers with 103 wickets between them wont be in the side, and our leading run scorer is a chance to also be out of the side.
Also new inexperienced captain expected to be given an opportunity, it'll be an interesting season. The step up will definately test our depth.

Is anyone going to produce some in's and out's yet or are we all waiting til Friday or Saturday? I need some info to get some odds together.
So far I've heard that the Gardens aren't as decimated as earlier stated on here, Lynch and Hanson haven't definetely departed, Hillen has retired though.
Seccafien will play for Virginia after the break.
Apart from that, the rumour mill is pretty stagnant.

Nato not playing for Virginia this year apparently.

At a guess, would imagine just one - Noel Grieg. A large number will be in the B grade, and the rest D grade.
Although the bowling in our A grade is a bit lighter on than the past couple of seasons, I think the batting still looks reasonably solid.

Wish I could give you some insight into our line-up this week, there's been at least a dozen possible line-ups already, it will come down to Thursday night. Hopefully everyone makes themselves available, we're already aware of one player who'll be out for the first match.

Not sure about a heap missing....

Stephen Sewell (EP)
Miles Picton (CU) *Missed 2/3 of last season anyway*

More reason to promote some talented youth. Looking forward to a refreshed side.

Odds on premiership LM?
Salisbury West would surely start favourites wouldn't they, but Angle Vale would have to be a big sniff.. 3x Carmens, Pogas, Shaw its a pretty good core group to work around!
