Yep, Cedar College is the venue for U21's training tonight. Fosters Rd, Northgate, from 5:30pm onwards. This training will determine whether we field an U21's side this SAMCA season or forfeit our scheduled matches.

If interested but unable to attend, please contact Mark Weinert (0437718576), Peter O'Brien (0437890019) or Scott Graham (0426206231). See ya's there! 8)

Good start to U21 association training. We had 8 or 9 out with atleast 3 or 4 more who couldnt make it. Good quality too. If you know of any interested and eligible players get them onboard. Its a good stepping stone to making the senior side especially if your interested in interstate trips and inter association games.

Im suprised to log on and find he hasnt already launched.. im just gonna put it out there, the Pidge got the best of the Phantom tonight :(

but i have excuses, a) didnt want to ruin the poor kids confidence, b) trying to bowl him into some form so he can make more runs the spintwin this season c) the glare from the grass was blinding d) the sandy run up was tough and e) i was too bemused by his batting technique

Its a technique used in the animal kingdom too. The anglerfish gets its name from the elongated dorsal spine that supports a light-producing organ known as a photophore. Through a chemical process known as bioluminescence, this photophore can produce a blue-green light similar to that of a firefly on land. The fish uses this appendage like a fishing lure, waving it back and forth to attract its prey. So....

The deep sea anglafish (or in this case Pidge) lures in other fish with bright lights (or in this case a shoddy technique) and then eats the other fish up (or in this case the Phantom). Smart play by Pidge really.
