Any thoughts on Morphy Parks so far 2 wins from 2 games is a great start but the next 3 games against Keswick plympton and ana could define their season. a couple of wins in those games and be 4 and 2 at chrissy would be awsome. Still have 2 or 3 a graders to play yet this season.

Confidence is a wonderful thing, the morphys side hasn't changed much but is obviously playing much better cricket than two years ago.

It is a great start for morphys and the next 3 games look important for you.

Be 3 and 3 or better at xmas and you guys will be in with a big shot at the finals.

Ck would have to be a good shot at making that side i would think. Luders from our side also will go well if he is able to play in it.

On a sad note, I believe that Danny Miller may have played his last match yesterday - great clubman!

If you were referring to Michael Thomas i don't think it will happen.

Good luck to Danny if he has in fact retired. A very good bowler thats for sure.

For mine, no Mackay in the side or Neagle. I heard Neagle is only playing until Christmas so that should rule him out IMO.
and Mackay, does his stats deserve it? yes he made 70 first game, but before he left, the 2 seasons in our comp were pretty bad runs wise. Yes he was a fine cricketer in his time, but i dont think he is in the best 6/7 bats in the comp at present!

Just my thoughts!

Pritchard in the side maybe as a bat, but with the bowlers of Tonkes, Sambo, Hopkins, Rowe and Cooke all in the side before him!

But i do believe Calderbank shouldnt be in the side! IMO, dont pick a spinner unless they are good enough to be in the side.

No where near it mate.

Luders will show to this comp how good he is in the next few games dont worry about that.

Calderbank i agree with people should just stop getting out to him. But even still he shouldn't be in the association side there are still 5 better bowlers in the comp IMHO.

Luders definitely in the side IMO.
Basso has he even amde 300 in the last two years?

I also think the association have to look at the fact its a one dayer, and not a 2 dayer a bit more eg: more hacks ;)

My association side:

Sambo
Rusty
Luders
Buttfield (always in the side)
Hopkins
Pritchard
McCormack
Rowe
Tonkes
Cheek
Cooke

Bowlers made up of: Sambo, Hopkins, Rowe, Tonkes, CHeek, Cooke. (if needed, pritchard and rusty)

Jake averaged 42.8 for his 556 runs with only one innings below 13, that being a second innings duck.

Basso last season made 393 @ 39.3 with 5 scores of 13 or below.

CK's consistency is > Basso.

There is no standout spinner in our comp atm IMHO.

Not many come to mind..I reckon it would be very hard to be a spinner on hard wicket, in particuly leg spinners

It isn't easy bowling spin on hard wicket but any good spinner will take plenty of wickets because most bats in our comp are carp against spin.

I agree. Calderbank gets wickets, but Roseboy or AF could confirm, how often does Calderbank get the better bats out of the opposition side. FOr mine, it looks like Calderbank gets the 'cheaper' wickets, with AF, Blesing or Roseboy needed to get the big scalps for ramblers to win. Thats jsut my view on the way calderbank goes!

I believe, u pick the best 5 bowlers. if there all pace bowlers, so be it!

However, Calderbanks figures are hard to dismiss from last year. Great year from him with the ball!
