I along with others have created something that coro and plympton players will remember for a long long long time. No one will care what keswick is doing, or what you have to say. It's great for everyone involved. We're not asking anyone to play with a different ball or on a different surface.

Newbound hit 24 and was out in the 44th over after opening. Hoppy, callum and mark Whenan with 3 each and a stunning run out from a brad Christie run out from the boundary...ball bounced 5 times before it got to the stumps.

WYC had 6 overs to bat and are 0 for 37. J Whenan on 21* and M King 15*

Nice write up. I thought Callum put in a big effort, bowled a lot of good overs.

Jabber wrote:There will be something officially sent to coro to thank them for everything, but from my heart I'd like to thank coro especially their captain jai. I personally am forever in debt to Coro's involvement, as a change of venue would have broken my heart after the work i'd put into next week.

I'm sure lots will be said about things but I'm not getting into that commentary.

Next week is going to be a big week for our club, and hopefully the association. I also hope Coromandel enjoy the opportunity to play against Jason Akermanis, I know ourboys are excited to play with him.

I extend an invitation to all clubs that finish early next week to come to the club and have a look.

I'll refrain from making any 'Mickey Mouse' related comments. 2nd time in recent history? that has got to piss the club/you off. Good luck for next week and well done on organising such an event.

Think Gowser was speaking about the pitch not being ready for play? Dont think he was questioning the Akermanis decision

Callum did bowl extremely well. You copped a unfair LBW Gowser, although we missed out on a couple earlier i feel.

Eddie batted extremely well. Was bloody patient all day and got a crap ball and just kicked a bit more than he thought. he definitely didnt deserve to get out like he did IMO. Batted extremely well.

Callums first over to heath was a cracker aswell. Best he has bowled in a long time (not including the off season)

Fair enough, sometimes it's hard to read things properly when you can't see much.

Hope to see all you guys at plympton oval after your game Is done.

Got a feeling there will be a couple twists in our game left. These 70 runs we need will be extremely hard.

Thinking of going to watch your mob if we do finish early though thats for sure

Would have thought after the first time you would have spoken to the council / groundskeeper and ensure such a joke wouldn't happen again.

The club has No say in what happens to the oval... With alot of Footy and soccer Played on the oval during the winter the only time to do something to the oval is the gap between Footy and cricket... It's hardly a joke, it's only happened twice over the clubs entire history!!!!!!! Also our oval seems to be on the end of the list on the councils priorities!

The belair and glenelg game looks like it will be a close one.

I would think Morphy Pks would get over the line against the ramblers with 160 required and all 10 wickets in hand.

I think we will get over the line against Keswick with 70 to get and 10 wickets still in hand.

I would also think that Cove are home with 300 on the board against Sheidow Pk.

Sharks look to have set a good target on the back of Diener's hundred against Sth Rd there weren't many contributions other than the first wicket but 230 odd will be hard for South Road to chase down i would think.

Why didn't play one week at a another venue and play this week at Plympton?
Oh that's right, you're not defending 300! ;-)

That was a bit different, we were half way through a game then and had no idea what to do at all! OR what the repercussions would have been if we didn't offer an alternative!

Noticed there is a C.Farrant playing for South Road, surely its not the same one that played years ago . Can anyone shed any information ? Also the Diener that plays for ICC ..... There was a top opener who played for Hectorville with a similar name ?
