Adam Harris is the lad you're thinking of. Definitely in the mix for selection if he's interested and available.

Also agree with Bedgie (can't believe I said that... :? ;)), you'd have to agree that Wehrmann is one of the in-form bats of Div 1 and the ability to be quite destructive, and him swinging at anything he can reach whilst chasing an outright is hardly indicative of Gully's ability. Pretty hard to bowl to slappers on hard-wicket when they're in that mood. Fair to say Wehrmann wouldn't be quite as 'enterprising' under far different game circumstances. And also fair to say that won't be the last over Gulls bowls before the Carny.. ;)

I might be a bit wrong here but sounds like to me you are saying Gully was the better player out of the battle. Seems like there are some players who are just going to be gifted because of what may happen.
Wehrmann has made prob more runs than anyone since the middle of last year, in big games as well, but wouldn't get a start in front of some blokes who think it is there right to be there.

Wow, your translator is on some seriously messed up smack!

Wehrmann won the contest hands down. I'm saying you can't judge a bowler on a few overs when the opposition side is throwing the kitchen sink at anything in order to achieve an outright.

You need to take a breath and compose yourself mo' and stop making shyte up, at the end of the day I'll pick the best side available and if Wehrmann makes himself available, he'd be seriously considered. If you want me to come straight out and say what my dream side is, that ain't gonna happen - neither the dream side eventuating, nor me declaring as much, but I can assure you that I hold no bias whatsoever and my goal is to pick the strongest side from the players available, etc, etc, ad nauseum, blah, blah.... ;)

I think Moses's cheese might have slipped of his Salada there Goat. Im sure you will pick the best team that is available at the time and will represent our Association well. The only thing i can agree with Moses on is Grubs hitting Sat. It was awesome. I still cant believe that Rose Park needed over 12 a over and Cougar wanted to bat! The guy is the slowest batter i have ever seen and his pencil arms wouldn't have enough power for the ball to make it to the fence!

=)) =)) =))

Saw Grubby's power hitting firsthand during the 1st week of the GF earlier this year. Certainly hits a big ball! 8) Admittedly, even Hendo cleared the boundary at Casa Da Postage Stamp ( ;) ), but some of Wehrmann's zacks cleared the rope by a good 30-40m.

A chance. Their batting appears their biggest weakness. If they get around 150 on the board at Fitzroy, Gully might give them some hope.

Incorrect. ;)

Nobody is an "automatic selection". All spots are up for grabs. All players are welcome to come out to trainings. Our strongest squad will be chosen from those who are available. These are the facts that people need to deal with.

Yes, I have spoken to PW, but what was quoted by yourself was not within the content of the conversation. And yes, he, along with any other registered C&CCA player, is welcome to attend the trainings.

Wright wouldn't make Rose Park's strongest team. Period.

I'll help u GH as this is my association team Mark II
in batting order

T.Hodson - 30
S.Neal - 32
J.Smith - 25
A.MacDonald - 40
A.Wehrman - 34
P.Atkins - 39
D.Andrews - 35
B.Reidy - 33
J.Clark - 36
R.Zuliamis - 44
A.Gully - 26
12th A.Balding - 49
13th I.Henderson - 50

might as well add the player/coach for the team to... Goatherder - 55

How preposterous! I take offence in you suggesting that age. There is no way Henderson is 50. We all went to his 50th Birthday party at the Paralowie Clubrooms many years ago.

Lacks some depth after Pidge. Fair to say the young fella didn't have his radar on against us, and will probably enjoy the longer bowling stints of the 2 day game. Could be Enfield's biggest thorn here and is due.

Probably a bit harsh on Pistol. He capped me too though.....the big 4-0 is still a couple of years away :( On the other side of the ledger, Reidy is well and truly available for Super Rules Football on Sundays ;)
