Great work Browny....but next time you want to drop names and spread vicious rumours perhaps you should do it on your own thread.

Vicious rumours??? I suppose it was pretty personal wasnt it... Obviously hit a nerve.

Would it make it any worse if i was advised by someone involved with CCC????? 8)

Last time i checked i didnt need permission to post in this thread?

Well while your on the subject of dropping names perhaps you could tell us the person in question involved with CCC?

He didn't drop any names, he only informed of the sources whereabouts...
Don't think he has any need to outlay his source..

I think as a club perhaps you should be looking closer in your backyard - I mean if people are hearing these sorts of rumors and they are coming from your club then perhaps it needs to be looked at? Would hate to see a club torn down from the inside :( FWIW, I heard the exact same rumor, Browny was just quicker to post it than me...

wasnt BS at all actually. just spoke to someone who has involvement with the club. apparent Hewitt decided to quit because of contrasting ideas on how to take the club forward (wanting a quickie at the club and the possibility of paying coin (obviously Papas was either too slow or cost too much ;) )) but was talked in to stayin by a few other senior players. and apparently the coach decided he wanted to throw in the towel after some comments made by players about him on the CCC forum

Wouldnt you want it to take time and not cost much!!
Maybe thats why Papas has moved on!!!  I crack myself after reading some of the dribble you post F2F!

Well all nominations are in and hopefully all grades will be finalized by Sunday, here's what would be the most likely gradings. Last seasons grade and where they finished are bracketed.

G1
Rosies (1/MP)
Westies (1/3)
A/Vale (1/4)
Virginia (1/5)
OTH (1/6)
Smithfield (1/7)
Gardens (1/8)
Units (2/MP)

G2
Craigmore (2/3)
Riverside (2/4)
Westies "B" (2/5)
Sal. Nth (2/6)
ATCO (2/7)
OTH "B" (2/8)
East. Pk (3/1)
Units "B" (3/3)

G3
ATCO "B" (3/MP)
Craigmore "B" (3/4)
Smithfield "B" (3/5)
Gardens "B" (3/6)
A/Vale "B" (3/7)
Rosies "B" (4/1)
Westies "C" (4/MP)
Nth Pines (4/3)

G4
Virginia "B" (4/4)
Sal. Nth "B" (4/5)
Two Wells (4/6)
Teachers (4/7)
Wasleys (4/8)
Craigmore "C" (5/3)
East. Pk "B" (5/4)
ATCO "C" (6/2)

G5
A/Vale "C" (5/5)
Units "C" (6/1)
Riverside "B" (6/3)
Rosies "C" (6/4)
Eliz. East (n/a)
Smithfield "C" (n/a)
Nth Pines "B" (n/a)
ATCO "D" (n/a)

The ones in red are a bit hard done by IMO due to the Lodge moving on, Playford finishing up and ATCO's A's & B's not being able to be relegated or promoted. Nevertheless, this is how the clubs will more than likely be ranked on last years form.

ATCO's C's will have to go from 6 to 4 as they have 4 normal comp sides.

I'd like to see the one day comp divided by talent opposed to geographics, those who have only entered one side in the comp should all play-off, this would leave the following:

Banga's
Brahma Lodge
Dublin
TTG
Westies
Wolves
OTH (won grade 8 last season)
Rosies (faired well in grade 7)

Westies
Sal. Nth
Nth Pines
Gardens
Units
Craigmore
Eliz. East
Two Wells

The whole one day comp needs to be looked at as there will be some absolute canings, the gap between the better sides and the weaker sides was enormous last season and will continue to widen.

So only 5 2 day comp sides, down on previous years.

Lodge have enough for 5 teams.

Grades 5 & 6 only had 6 & 5 teams respectively last season, 56 teams nominated all up, not a major concern at this stage I would think.

Hi Guys,

The North Eastern Knights Cricket Club (SA Churches & Community Association) are really struggling for players to fill our B Grade for the upcoming 2011/2012 season.

At this point I want to make quite clear that I have not come onto your associations forum to try and poach players, however, if your club has an excess amount of players who are missing out on games and are keen to play, I would love to have a chat with you to see if an arrangement can be made where you could help us out.

If you think your club could be of assistance, please PM me.

The 5th side will be the over 40's and include legends like proctor and holding

The guys that played in grade 8 last year like Payne and aloisi etc aren't playing cricket at all

In fact I think only 3 players from the E Grade are still playing

7 grades still, it's only a couple grades down from what it's been for the time I've been around. Lodge take half a grade with them while cricket numbers are down everywhere. I'd not be too concerned but you'd definitely want to be ahead of the curve and planning for rainy days. No point doing something when we're down to 2 grades and wishing we'd been proactive when we had 7. I think we have to find a way to get kids involved in cricket more and staying in the game after. With the way people's lives are now, I think we need to accept that cricket won't be #1 so enforced trainings, preseasons and being inflexible will just force kids away from cricket ovals andinto nightclubs.

Great post Grahaml, you are dead right and this is just not a problem for PDCA but all associations, SACA and Cricket Australia.

No buttons pressed F2F far from it, just love it when you have a crack at someone and their comeback blows you out of the water.
Mate at least I don't try to get dropped to win a grade 8 premiership, never won 1 of those you must of felt proud to chase that grade 8 flag.
While there is nothing wrong with guys winning grade 8 flags but when you are portraying yourself as a good cricketer that tells me you were hunting some GLORY!! ;)

Howzat if you read the post I am not having a crack at anyone who plays grade 8 if that is their level of cricket but I was having a go at F2F for trying to get dropped in grades so he could chase the grade 8 flag. I am having a go at these "warriors" who play way under their ability to glory hint a premiership.
We have a grade 8 team and I don't redicule them as that is the level they are capable of playing but most push themselves to try and play higher.
