Mate, how often do you see the umps go to the book and write down the best couple of bowling figures and the highest couple of scores, players go by influence of result, based on history, umps go by stats.
IMO, 2nd innings that are dead rubbers shouldn't come into effect...............but they do generally.
OTH won because they had more contributors and were the better all-round team, I'm not denying that fact.
OTH were only a #9 slapper better in the game..at 8 for 179 we failed to finish them off and paid for it..... 7-311 against AV without Fenwick was pleasing
