Abit of a defensive statement pap? Are you the "phantom gossiper" for browny?
And suns..good on you for wanting to better a club mate and if some people cant handle abit of hard work then stiff shit for them... But to be honest there would be more satisfaction coaching kids then people who dont take it seriously

Great work Browny....but next time you want to drop names and spread vicious rumours perhaps you should do it on your own thread.

I spoke with our A Grade skip only a few hours ago and he assures me he is still captain....and in being captain it generally means you will be playing. ;)
As for the coach, i will let you know tomorrow when i attend training to do all that fitness work we all absolutely despise him for. :ymsmug:

Ben would probably have been the quickest in Grade 2 over the past 2 or 3 seasons. It's weird, season before last he was erratic and bowling big innies, however last season he bowled good lines with a bit of outswing? May have slowed down a touch and tweeked his action to get the line and length and away swing, or may have suddenly learnt how to bowl one?
See Ben quite often and if you are unsure if he is going around with Riverside Roodog then i might have to get in his ear. ;)

You keep ya grubby mitts off our Benny! LOL! Yep, he has developed a bit of outswing, but hasn't spent a lot of time on it. His pace early in the season was as good as ever (terrorised Craigmore in the fading light Rd 3. Shook young Baker's beans up with a rap to the helmet). The groin problem definitely slowed him though. With an off season to recover, he should be right to rock'n' roll

Ins and Outs for EPFC as a club, some will play in our As and some in the Bs hopefully with the young talent at ep our B grade wont be left to forfeit a final

INS-
A. Tuckwell - smithfield
C. Knapp - Smithfield
J. Glenn - penfield
S. Sewell - westies
D. Masefield - Para Hills

OUTS-
B. McEwan - Central united

Should be another great season at ep with only one out and a few good pick up's.. Also a few of our home grown Jr. Players are pulling on the whites again this year....

It's been your downfall for the past decade, full of footballers that play cricket, at least your committee has acknowledged that they need to get behind cricket a bit, it's been left to Johnny and Knoxy to try running things for so long.
Eastern Park were one of the premeir clubs in the 90's and early 00's.

Going to be a hectic week and a half coming up, should imagine there will be some late movements and decision making.
We still have some prospective A graders umming and arring about where they are playing, we're looking ok though even with our worst case scenario.

make ur mind up mate. first i hear ur not playing at all... then ur at freeling... then u tell me ur at craigmore... now back at freeling? perhaps ur one of the players who didnt particularly agree with the direction the coach is taking craigmore after deciding to play there, so back to ur first choice of club with freeling?

not sure on fact there browny but i have heard about a bit of unrest down at CCC so it wouldnt suprise me. might not be far from the truth. according to a senior player the coach might not be the most popular with some of the players. all talk at the end of the day... i guess time will tell. perhaps 'Thats gold' or Papas can share some insight?

Al Hewitt is STILL A Grade captain at CCC.

As for the rumour or otherwise that i am not the most popular person with some players then i actually wouldnt deny that. Not that i have heard anything but i have trained players harder than they are used to but when i see obvious areas that need work EG: fielding, fitness etc then thats what i as coach will work on. Some like it some dont!

from my experience of playing against craigmore they have actually been one of the fitter sides in the PDCA with a few youngsters playing so as as result the fielding has usually been up to scratch also. i would have thought hitting the nets hard and improving the battin and bowling side of things would have been top of the list? because for years the club has relied on Howe and Elliott, and more recently Hewitt... and with Howe not bowling so much now... the lack of quality depth i thought wud have been the biggest concern? not running the players ragged through preseason to play PDCA div 2? wonder what will happen once Howe and Elliott hang up the boots? cant be too many years left
