Wizard of Oz wrote:"Definitely best umpire - votes reflected that - apparently he won the best umpire BUT the umpire director decided a first year umpire couldnt win the 'Best umpire Award' so gave it to Alf (who then needed a blindmans cane to find his way up to the front to collect it after getting out of his wheel chair)"

This is just typical. The old boys club.

HERE HERE.
Apparently Running Dave is not umpiring this season either so there goes 2 of the younger guys. Maybe the PDCA should get the OPSM sponsorhip deal like the AFL.

I dont think the Lodge have a team playing low enough in the divs for me to consider going out there

They are entering 6 sides this year aren't they? Surely you would be half a chance with your man management abilities, P.Steen to keep wicket, J.Showman unchanged for 20 from the top end, B.Showman pushing up into it

6 sides is a huge increase from last season when they had to do away with their Grade 6 C team on the eve of the minor round.

I wouldn't believe everything you read on this forum.....
Grade six would have been our D grade wouldn't it?

Either Brahma have done some amazing recruiting or browneys having a laugh. if sibbick is out ya might see brahma struggle down the lower end of the table in the run to christmas... then team sibbick will have a lot to do after the xmas break if they wanna make finals

If true would certainly leave a huge hole in their side and their plans for the season, as for not needing him it would require browney to step up to the plate to fill the void.
