Back in the day, I had the pleasure of being hit into the Berri Bowling club on the full by Mark McDonald.
I also saw Critters old man Steve Critchley hit one through the main gate at Berri on the full.

We had a lad clear the gum trees and hit the library on the full at Smithfield Oval a few years back, it was just a flick off the pads aswell.

He strikes the ball very well now and hits his share of sixes, but I've heard some stories of some massive hits in his younger days (one over the grandstand at Berri), so I reckon he used to hit it a bit further. Dan hit one over the RFL headquarters a couple of years ago, so that was a massive hit too.

NS - you're lucky you played WITH Doc.
Yup, I've seen him whack some balls around.
Same with Reynolds.
Jayme Peltz is an under rated hitter of the ball.

Biggest hit I've seen though was Damien Critchley smacking the ball to the Mill Corner end of the Loxton Oval, the ball went one bounce into the fence that goes around the showgrounds.

Have also seen Reynolds tee off at the same time as another big hitter - Drew Crane. That was a fun 45 minutes.

Ha! Critter the big red pig! Champion bloke. Loved his Maccas and beer.
RB - Didn't Tom Wood hit a six into the timekeepers box at Barmera or something one day

Yeah, was in third over of the day, charged Trewy and put him in the time keepers box. Was a great shot for degree of difficulty. Tom is a stayer, and a worker of the ball, but probably not one of the best 'strikers'.

Craig Reimann Eudunda- Kapunda

Can agree with all of these from the Barossa. All three very hard to get out when going, and all three could hit the ball big.

Best i have seen was back in th 80s by a 2 blokes called Trevor Krueger playing for Tailem Bend and Chris Whibley who played for Wanderers. Trevor hit a six into a howling gale at Tailem oval and smashed a spectators windscreen. Chris smashed one of the best hundreds i have seen playing in the country carnival (the piss up one) smashing th bowlers to all parts ofthe ground. I think we played at Kensington oval closes the road. The cars driving by were not safe.

John Rankin from Brighton would have to be the biggest hitter I have seen in Turf cricket. One game he knocked up 200 pretty much after tea. Landed some big balls well on the neighbouring Rugby Oval.
And the two biggest wons were at Grange. One hit the back fence of the practice wickets and the other on the clubrooms roof and the game was being played on one of the middle wickets. Massive hitter and could do it on a regular basis.

Danny Leverentz from the Brahma had a gun eye. Smacked 155* one day in decent heat to save the game against Eliz. Didnt mis time a ball.

Noticed someone further back mention Mark McDonald in Berri. If its the same, McDonald played at Brahma and hit a ball into the Progress Hall carpark, on the full from the Southern end. Lefty, I believe.

Oh and reckon John Tonkin goes alright, just quietly

I saw Rossy hit a massive six at Virginia, cleared the pine trees and landed on the city lane of Old Pt Wakefield road and ended up on the front porch of the house across the road, took Virginias players about 5 minutes to find it. I dont think they were in a hurry though.

Bomber Burden very clean 6 hitter, we had to get a few out of the dam at Sandy.

What about Harris from Sandy Creek I dont think anyone has mention him, hits them from ball one.
