Mine with what iv seen within the standard and write-ups about people would be.

1. Wayne Gilgen
2. Luke Hocking (cpt.)
3. Corey Knight
4. Luke Harrowfield
5. Aaron Zrim
6. Harry Webb
7. Roger Puckridge
8. Matt Thompson
9. Ben Trenrdan (wk)
10. Clay Leckie
11. Matt Elliott

Opening Bowlers 1. Clay Leckie and 2. Aaron Zrim
Wicket Keeper Ben Trenordan
Captain Luke Hocking
12th man- Ty Phieffer

Are you trying to pick a Meyer Shield side, or just your best 11 players in the association?

If your going with a Meyer Shield side I don't think Puckridge, Harrowfield or Leckie will be available, and there is no way Benny T will get picked as the Keeper - going on recent years they will pick someone who can bat and keep - its the way they have gone. I think Boscence from Meningie would have his nose in front for that position.

I bet they would love to have Matt Elliott batting at 11 - I assume you mean Michael Elliott?! As much as he is the association leading wicket taker, I am not sure if he is the kind of bowler who will do well at association level. There are plenty of bowling options there anyway - with Zrim, Webb, Thompson, Hocking, Knight, Leckie - maybe they don't need anymore bowlers...

I think you missed a couple as well - Willis from Meningie, and Krollig from Mannum, but apart from that I think you are just about spot on - I would have Boscence opening and keeping and Willis at 3 - Move Hocking, Knight, etc. down a couple of spots and slot Krollig in at about 7 or 8 - its a pretty imposing batting line up.

Trenorden can bat, but he is just a bit of a slogger - nothing correct about it.

Boscence is a very good keeper, and when you factor in his batting, I would think he would be the keeper in the MTCA meyer shield side this year.

@ pigskin - yes Puckridge can keep, but he had a knee recon during footy season so he won't be keeping for awhile yet... Lets just hope he gets on the park and plays a few games for Imps..

Karoonda play meningie at Meningie. I am tipping it to be very cold, wet and windy. If karoonda bat first i would think we should make 250 with Reece Boughen making a big 100 (if he rocks up). we a pretty thin on bowling with Hocking not able to bowl and knight is a bit sore but if we are able to get willis and bocense out we should be ok.

Could be interesting Meningie v Karoonda - Karoonda should get over the line though.

Monarto play Jervois - I would think this could be close to another outright loss for Jervois. Monarto easily.

Imps and Mannum - Imps should get up here - batting line up is looking okay even with no Gilgen, Hutchinson, Puckridge or Gogel. Wayne Altus comes in for his first A grade game, and Fidge is back from Israel. And with 8 bowlers we have heaps of options. Rumour has it Mannum has only 10 players.

Wanderers v Mypo - Wanderers need to bat first and make 160+ to make a game of it - don't think their bowlers have the fire power to roll Mypo though, so Mypo easily.

Im might head up and watch Imperials vs. Mannum today.
should be a good game here i am hoping Imperials field first just because they can be a boring batting team.

Should be a cracker

Karoonda rolled Meningie for 110 probably should have been for about 50 but we bowled and fielded badly, knight took 4. faced about 25 overs and we are about 4 for 90. huxtable and knight at the crease and knight is on 50 odd. should make just over 200 and have another crack at them.

Heard the u/21s had a close win.

Imps in big trouble 6/72 chasing 154. As with last years GF a 10th wicket partnership could be very costly - 10th wicket stand was 43 - a simple dropped catch when the partnership was about 5 hurt a lot....

Eckerman is good enough to make the side but there there seems to be a lot more quality batsmen in the league than bowlers which might keep him out.

I believe knight may end up back in town in the new year back at west torrens
