Ango won the toss and battered first and compiled 177 of 50 odd overs and then had GV 3/37 at the end of the day. Mullins made 2 ducks for the day, dropped second ball he faced but then clean bowled by young wooddoggydog.

Game very evenly balance for next week early wicket then Ango will be in front or a good partnership then GV will take the honours.

Any other A grade games get a start today.

I know I could not beleive it, if I hadn't seen it with my own two eyes I would never believed it. Brett wooddogg producing two deliveries in one over to get the best cricketer in this comp out twice... What a bowler. And so humble!!!!! ;)

I note that Vivian has batted 3 times for the panthers, with a 40 odd and a 50 so far. Not bad for a bloke some on here said would be a good addition to their B grade. Good on him, obviously a change of scenery has worked for him.

Any word on the final selection for the association team? Assume Burgess Jnr will lead the side.

Vivian has been a great inclusion for our cricket club, yeah a few blokes might have said stuff about him playing 2's but brings something different to our ones line up and is very good with the young guys aswell... Pretty happy fracka signed up at G/C as we look to have done better out of that trade.

Yep Kym seems to have started alright...got some cheap second innings runs against South but obviously got an important 50 on the weekend to help you blokes to a respectable score. I'm pretty sure most blokes at GC would be happy that Kym is enjoying his cricket although we might be a little less happy if he gets some runs against us...

I wonder if Burgess jnr and Kym have combined to make Ango offically the whitest team in the competition these days? they would be going through a couple of litres of Banana Boat a week I would have thought...

vivian is a top bloke and batted with some aggression on saturday to help ango get to 177.. game will be decided first 15 overs on saturday. dogga woodards will win the association bowling tropy and take 30+ wickets. can bowl and has got the arrogance to boot.. also was interesting having a few beers sat night and listening to boof rave on about ben burgess still being his bunny. 4 times in the last 6 games they've played. he also added it only took him 3 balls to get his man..

Yeah heard Boof gloating about getting Benny Burgess out. Prize wicket for Boofa, GV boys were telling me he has started a shrine at home listing the ways he has got Benny out over the past few times. Speaking to Burgo he says that each time he goes out to bat against mullins he gets a little confused as he never remembers whether he is a leg or off spinner

Yep agree with you there extractor, sunglasses are required in the change rooms at all times. Mind you Burgess Jnr does have a nice tight fitting rug that he wears even through the summer

hes claiming his early season form to the fact that he's 'picked up a yard' still looks like slow mediums to the rest of us tho... but he can keep chucking his pies down if he continues to get the comps best batsmen out wk in wk out.. keep us a happy team at gilbert...

we've already told boof that hes gonna be doing at least the 1st 25 overs.. it may be the 1st time he's failed this yr with the bat but it will also be the 1st time he's umpired.. we r just fingers crossed he isnt as hungover as last wk..

Considering Boof's record of getting to cricket on time maybe pencil him in for overs 5-30....

Good outright for Sandy today.
South set 170 off 20 to win.
Captain Fuller hit 21 off the last over to win it off the last ball of the day

Damn it Jimbob you beat me to it. What a day set 170 and ran it down, just what the doctor ordered out at Cock Park. Might i also add a massive bowling effort from Ali, few injuries to bowlers and pumped out 19 overs and took four vital wickets to turn the day around and put us in the hunt. Billy Fuller, what a knock, needing 21 off the last over with poor Leigh Mitchell running in to bowl, 6 (Over the train tracks) 6 (On the train tracks) 6 (Top edge) . (Wanted to make it interesting) 2 (twinged a hammy to make it more interesting) 1 (Let the celebrations begin). Its fair to say the boys were pumped after the win. Bring on the rest of the season.

Angaston were too good in the TOP of the table clash today..... bowled the bulls out for 100... the Hamley recruits look like good solid cricketers, and complement their side well, just a bad day for them, but must say we did bowl well... led by young Matt Blenkiron, arguably the competitions fastest bowler... doeck's and vandy might argue but this kid bowls quick..... look forward to playing Gawler Centrals this week and seeing what they've got, should be good. pretty sure the boys have told their girlfriends to stay away this week, not sure why

That’s an unbelievable result from an unbelievable cricketer.
That’s why he has a Mosey Medal under his belt.

good to see Sandy up and about and excited about cricket again after rolling the winless bottom team,
Forgive us for waiting a week or 3 before we consider them back in town.
Meanwhile at Ango we are just enjoying the view.....
