Browny25 wrote:So what grade do you think Brahma Lodge should have their 2 teams in for next season?
I would think most likely A3 and B2. It will be interesting to see how well the Brahma Lodge lads cope on the slower turf wickets.

Yes browny... 1 Batsman... was making a joke.![]()
From playing at clubs that have had a turf pitch put in new to the ground, it takes a couple of years to have become a good batting pitch.
Ours use to pop up quite alot and be quite slow, ive heard its a good pitch now.
Took about 3-4 years.

Reynella's produced 18 wickets for 550 runs from memory so if prepared well it will be good for both.
Just dont bowl short

Yeah last time i played at Reynella the wicket was beautiful. Heard the curator loves the pitch tho, is out there most nights straight after work etc in his shirt and tie!!!
Good to have someone that puts in all that effort. Could use one at every club.

He would marry that square if he could:), Wait until he gets his new shed built near the nets. The committee may have to charge him rent he will spend that much time at the oval! Terrific fella and the sqaure is a testament to the amount of time he puts in

They would have to do him a good deal on rent.. he would probably sleep on his roller so he would be prepared first thing in the morning!!

I believe Justin Ifould has signed on with a Turf Club to do some coaching and play.
