Centrals all out 60 I think.

Nobesy and Sewelly got them none down.

That is superb.

Here's one for ya, we call it losing the unloseable game.

We had a bloke (A grade opening batsman, never got a bowl) could only play one week of a two week game going back about ten years ago, played him on our D's. We bowled first, they let him open the bowling, picked up 9/12, cleaned the opposition up for 26 for memory. He opened the batting and made 120 thereabouts and we were about 2/160 so they declared at 5 pm to give him another go at cleaning them up, he picked up another 2 wickets as they went in approx 2/25.

They went on to make around 180 to set our guys a target of around 40, we then got all out for 25. I have the book at home, I bring it out on special occaisions so we can have a good laugh.

Wow. That is pretty funny.

I remember beating Gawler Centrals outright in one day.....and that was their A grade.

I was playing back then.
Those were the days. Hungover to sh*t. Playing in Elizabeth's B grade - getting an occasional A grade game.

Forgot to mention my all time favourite Elizabeth player....

Mark DeJong.....Very similar bowler to Shaun O'Brien.....just bowled some real classy stuff with some good heat.

Great bloke too......got along real well with him, and faced him many times.

Here's another one for yas....

What kind of records/stats do your clubs keep ?

Salisbury West is quite amazing in this aspect...One gentleman has amassed over 10,000 runs.
Club stalwarts Adrian Gruguol and John Conole have over 9000. Super and Ozzie both over 6000.

When I get home I can put up our top 10 run scorers and wicket takers in the clubs history.

It also has some extaordinary categories and quirky stats in there..

Nice deflection  , we only have stats from 84 onwards, our leading runscorer has a tad over 6000, our leading wicket-taker has 283 (but played prior to 84), we have two other current players in the 260's.

Salisbury West are the same. Partnership records, 100's, 50's, 5 fors, Overs bowled, Maidens.

Post some of the stats tonight or today if you have access to them and I will do the same tonight.

This is getting too hard, I'll give a few clues to my identity, if you can work it out, PM me.

I've played 158 games for my current club
I've played 29 games for another PDCA club
I've played 26 games for a district club
I've played 10 games for a third PDCA club
I've played 4 games for ATCA club
I've played 3 PDCA association games
I've played 1 game for a fourth PDCA club

This is over a 18 year period though, starting at 15 years of age.
I'm getting sick of talking in riddles

Then you'd know his brother Mouse.
He's one of my good mates.
I wasn't a cricketer of any note - only played a few A grade games for Elizabeth.
But did play a bit up the grades in the soft heads while we were still one club.

So did I, only when they were in SACA though, I see mouse occaisionally, good lad. I played A's when Jarman was coaching and Adrian Gordon, B's a bit with Mark Bishop, the nicest bloke ever to take the cricket field IMO, I remember him doing square leg umpiring with his walkman on listening to races, there was a close run out appeal, he was too busy barracking for his horse to win to notice what was going on.
