Greenock look to be seriously struggling playing A1 cricket in the BLCA. With the likes of Coombes, Hogan, Mcafferty in their best line up as their batsmen they tend to look a bit like dads army. Lacking fitness and quality batsmen in their line up.

For those unaware it is the opening of Tanunda's new international standard lights.
Tanunda are taking on Angaston in a T20, probably the best 2 teams in the comp at the moment.
Should be a good night

Poor form ?

Cricket cancelled even though temp within cut off

If you know teams will struggle to get players on this weekend don’t schedule a round

yep what a joke, why have a heat policy? The exec can just decide every Thursday if there will be any cricket played on Saturday. Is a public holiday on a wednesday close proximity to a Saturday or is it only Tuesdays?
Absolute muppets running the show.
Weve missed enough games this year through rain and covid, i wouldve thought the priority would be playing as much as we can.

What's the cut off temp? 40 for Adelaide?

If clubs are struggling for numbers that's too bad really, everybody would have seen the fixture 3-4 months ago and presumably club delegates authorised the original decision to play tomorrow.

They already accounted for this by not having the A4 and A5 one day competition programmed this weekend to help with numbers.

It seems the Heat policy has moved from being about safety to being about convienience

In theory I don't mind the idea of calling games off earlier than Thursday.

I know in the current position I'm in (38 year old, 3 kids 12,9,2, own a few hectare property requiring work) any advance notice I can get on a game being called off meaning I can organise 'family' 'trips away' etc makes it easier to convince the misses abandoning the fam every Saturday to chase a red ball around is worth it.

3rd vs 4th in A1 Grade next week, would be a long time since that has happened.

Sandy Creek 9/231 defeated Angaston 210, the runof 6 straight Grand Finals for Angaston comes to an end.
Diener the difference with 108 of 50 odd balls coming in at 4/60 odd

The other game was a real nail biter.
Tanunda 125 Nuri 7/117 over night. Then lost 2/0 at the start of play before going on to make 177, the no11 0* off 47 balls.
Tanunda were then dismissed for 177 off 18 overs in their 2nd innings leaving Nuri around 32 overs to survive, apprently ending at 8 fa 20 odd

So its Sandy Creek vs Nuri at Sandy Creek next weekend.
Lyndoch vs Light Pass in A1 Res
Kapunda vs Sandy Creek in A2 @ Kapunda
Lyndoch vs Angaston in A3
