HELLO, Sandy Creek. Anyone one out there, Hello.

Can I ask that if anyone is driving near Sandy Creek that they call through there and make sure the township is still standing. Very quiet from the SC boys compared to last year.

Maybe Norm has put a media ban on the club!!

A good round of Cricket ahead of us this week:

1 v 2

The undeafeted GV side travel up to Angao to take on Angaston. Both sides will be several players different than there 1st encounter in round one. Should be a cracking game and can be assured that a few beers will be had after both weeks.

However still haven't picked it as the game of the round, for mine I think the South Gawler v Sandy Creek game takes that honour. 7 v 8 and both sides winless so far so each side will be doing every thing to notch up their 1st win for 11/12. SC do look the better team but I think SG will surprise a few sides this year and will this be the 1st big surprise...

4 v 5 is Nuri taking on Tanunda. Nuri is certainly hitting their straps which would be a concern to the comp but don't underestimate the Tanunda CC. Led by the warrior Hartigan this side is not as bad as everyone was saying at the start of the year but Nuri at home will be too strong

Kapunda host GC in the final match, 6 v 7. Must win for GC to stay in touch of the top 4 and a Kapunda win will keep them looming to steal a top 4 spot if the sides above them drop games. For me I think Kapunda may just have enough to get over the line in this one.

Fracka is on holiday in Bali...although I'm sure some of the regular contributors on the forum might be able to conjure a much more sinister reason if they really put their minds to it. I'm actually surprised that nobody has tried to claim that he is suspended or has quit or become a Scientologist or something...

Yes some very big games this week. We need a win to stay clear of South and Sandy...rumour has it that the Kapunda deck is looking immaculate. Must have been a quiet week for Good Roofing and the Johnsons if they have been spending that much time on the roller....

Nuri looked every inch the reigning premiers last week...pretty handy bowling attack although we certainly didnt set the world on fire with the bat. Will be a good match up with Tanunda who seem to have surprised a few this year...

Going for GV to knock off Ango in the other match as I think they have a bit more depth. I have heard that Craig Mullins is still angry about not opening the bowling in the association match on Sunday and feels he has a point to prove...

As I said earlier in the week, it is a cracking game at panther park between the top two sides. Ango won the toss and battered first and compiled 177 of 50 odd overs and then had GV 3/37 at the end of the day. Mullins made 2 ducks for the day, dropped second ball he faced but then clean bowled by young wooddoggydog.

Game very evenly balance for next week early wicket then Ango will be in front or a good partnership then GV will take the honours.

Any other A grade games get a start today.

It will be interesting to see if the cocks play Koch in the one dayers.. Probably top 3 one day bowlers in comp over past 2 seasons. Plus has shown this year has still got a bit to offer with the willow. Surely has shown them he is dedicated and has the right attitude. Apparently running laps at training which trust me is unheard of for the big guy. I say play him.

Also just on the cocks, well done on first win but still 6 for 115, with a bloke who has hardly trained coming back and top scoring, what's the answers down there? Good to see Billy get a start that big score is coming!!!

I know I could not beleive it, if I hadn't seen it with my own two eyes I would never believed it. Brett wooddogg producing two deliveries in one over to get the best cricketer in this comp out twice... What a bowler. And so humble!!!!! ;)
