Cove premiers again. After 24 years in A grade, 12 flags. What a record.
Told you there is no prizes for pre Xmas premiers.
3 peat Woo Hoo

Are you sure about the 24 years Turbo ? :partyman:
Still, a great record anyway and well done to the Cove lads.

Yep we worked it out. Cove didn't play A's for the first few years of existence

31 years I reckon mate.
But no big deal, still a record to be proud of.

Get on down to Noarlunga Cricket Club presentation night this Friday Night starts 7:00pm. Should be a great night with the Southern Suburbs favourite local band the Chokers playing all their greatest hits including No Second Prize and We're not the Champions! Plenty for the kids to do also with the Trav and Jimmy puppet show to start early and don't forget the end of year raffle, unfortunately 1st prize has been lost but we will still be giving out 2nd prize. Champagne specials all night we have plenty left over from GF night and also pre Grand Final Premiers shirts will be available in a variety of sizes. All welcome see you there!

What an epic failure by Noarlunga! Winning the T20 comp and the Club Championship is worth nothing after being the dominate team all year and not taking out the only trophy that counts. Well done to Cove and it proves that getting to the grand final and being top all year, you don’t get the trophy handed to you.

HHH,
There are clubs that could only dream of Noarlunga's record in A grade cricket!

As for chokers look no further that our neighbours Port Noarlunga that last year played in A/B/C grand finals and lost them all then backed it up with this year B/C grand finals and lost them both!! now that is what u call chockers!!! Yep the club that also has the worst representative of a team of the year player in jackson!!!! worst keeper in the history of SCA and a tool to go with it!!!!!!

Sorry SB, while I have respect for the shoes, didn't you guys lose something like 8 B grade GF's in a row, that would constitute a major choke in my books

Like the old saying goes... Only 2 things in life are certain... Taxes and death..

Wednesday 23rd December 2009
Wrong, there are three certainties ---- Taxes, death, and Noarlunga's 2009/10 Premiership.
All that remains now is to see whether Port or Cove get into the Grand Final with them.

OH DEAR !!!!!!

I've been wrong before, and unfortunately this won't be the last time.
Well done Cove. They certainly picked up steam after Christmas and Noarlunga were not good enough to stop the train in its tracks.

Deep Heat wrote:I agree with no more whinging even though i was part of it . It doesnt matter where the game is played its going to be a belter Noarlunga with 6 of the best 11 cricketers in the comp this year and almost unbeaten would have to be massive favourites against a struggling cove who have just scraped in with no star players standing out with bat or ball the question is can a TEAM OF CHAMPIONS ( NOARLUNGA ) BEAT A CHAMPION TEAM ( COVE )

   a champion team it was. Have to give it to the cove boys thoe they all were playing with heat stroke as there was no shelter to rest under! Does this prove that it doesnt matter where u play the GF! Or does it still mean that if cove are in it next year which no doubt they will be close that we wont be able to play at the best ground in the comp?

Also heard there will be 7 teams in the comp next year and thats coming from a reliable source!

I am not sure what Jackson being the worst keeper in history has to do with me, I have no connection to Port Noarlunga so I couldn't care less what sort of bloke he is or how bad his cricket is!!! Just worry about your own backyard and all the tools down there!
