Bat first. Why bowl them out for 40 most points you get is equivalent of 240 batting second, but bat first and score 400 you get more points.

Some quality strokemakers in the side though. J. North coming off a 50, R Bond can hit the ball, then the two top runscorers in the comp at 3 and 4 with a kid coming off a 50 at 5 before the dirty sloggers go in. Every reason to think they can earn more than 200 runs more than Wasleys can muster.

That being said, the game's never won till it's won. Half our side might get lost on the way.

Very true, if you bat 1st id back Costanzo in for another ton, i for one arent too keen on travelling to Wasleys in a couple weeks, had to look it up on whereis.com, its going to take me 2 days to get there! :shock:

But 1st things 1st.. you need to win the toss..

Or have a captain able to convince the opposition they want the game to last longer than an hour.

Rat shouldn't be in the same forum as Fortu and Jimmy.

You cant have blokes being king hit (even if they are wearing a helmet) and then being kicked in the head when they are on the ground

They give a bloke 16 games for throwing a stump at the crowd a few years ago yet an all in brawl is to be swept away with no penalties

what makes it worse is that there was an official umpire at the game who should be told he is no longer required for his part in it all

PDCA = shambles

He was a SACA umpire!

doesn't say much for SACA's quality then

maybe he wanted to get home in one piece

What has that to do with it? If a guy has an ego or is humble he'll put himself into a class he doesn't belong (either higher or lower). Rat is a very dangerous cricketer with a very good record. One of the few with a career bowling average lower than his career batting average who bowls and bats regularly.
