No 40/40 trial for the two dayers today. Got canned at the last minute. Good move I think. Play the game the way it is intended to be played!

So, updating scores after the weekend NS.

Loxton bowled out Monash in the final over of the day for 170ish.
17 year old leggy Shaun Reilly claimed 5 wickets.

Berri rolled Waikerie for 160-odd and are 3 for 60 in reply with Reynolds, Clifford and Dale in the shed.
Interesting game this one.

Cricket finals start this weekend.
All of a sudden things appear to have evened up somewhat.
Monash getting things right at the right time, while Loxton has been much more competitive.
Having said that, both Berri and Waikerie still have players to return.
The picture will be a lot clearer after this weekend and it would be amazing if it was a Loxton v Monash grand final! Doubt it though.

Looks like Monash are through to the GF after cleaning up Waikerie on the first day.
Berri have posted 255 against Loxton after being 5 for 25.

Berri v Monash it is.
Sorry Loxton.
I hope they can make 260 but...can't remember the last time a Loxton side made that many runs.

They almost got there DW. Fell agonisingly close in near darkness at Berri oval.
I had the priveledge of watching one of the better knocks I have seen in Riverland cricket with Sam Hoffman scoring 150.
The lad can play.

I got the scores through and was pleasantly surprised but also disappointed. Great effort by the lads.
Finally one of the Hoffmann boys has shown his true ability. What a score!
He should be very proud of that effort.

Yeah, it was a great knock.
I've got a feeling there is going to be plenty more where that came from.

I'd be interested to know if you would have been praising him up if you lost yesterday? You blokes would have been sulking big time and there would have been no praise whatsoever.

Would have to be the best game ive seen played down here. Sammy batted well all day, never looked like getting out till he reached his ton and still knocked another 50. Still managed to smash reynolds out of the park about 5 times in the darkness. Must have a good eye

Hopefully that was a breakthrough innings and is enough to convince his older brother to have another crack.
