I reckon he played there last time he had a stint at turf.

We would have him back in a heart beat too, he still plays T20 for us and hoping he will do the same again this year,

Interesting ‘press release’ from Units, stinks of deflection. Always three sides to the story, but interesting stance to take when only a few games ago the shoe may have been on the other foot…

This will be a nonevent and in typical Para Districts fashion, swept under the carpet.

Well Adelaide Hazara chased down Virginia's 294 with ease, Nato didn't play though, he was crook.

They came out swinging from ball one while the field was up moving at over 9 an over with former Craigmore opener Mohammed scoring 153.

They are a bunch they clearly love their cricket, they applauded any good fielding that Virginia done, they looked the part with brand new matching playing shirts along with their off-field polo's and they were generally a great bunch.

Each player that came over to score was very chatty and friendly, they will cause some damage this season and post some very high scores, just lack in the bowling department a bit.

Apparently all has been filmed….
From the whispers doing the rounds the line was crossed most of the day and exploded late.

Surely can’t be swept under the carpet this time…..?

Units have given their fair share over the time to every team in the comp, finally get something back and all hell breaks loose.

Yes Cucc has given their fair share over the time but have also received just as much from other clubs.
There is always two sides to every story and any one who would like to know the relevant story is more than welcome to give me a call as per the Facebook post

There is no place in cricket for what happened yesterday and we trust pdca and saca will do the right thing

More importantly, for tipping sake, do we award the Units the win using the D-L system?

You do wonder what avenues there are before assaulting the opposition team, even if baited and enticed. Could the Skipper have walked off the field and an email been sent to the Executive, there was an official umpire there I am lead to believe, could they have done more if brought to their attention by the Units Skipper.

Apparently the Chairperson of Units had ceased Scoring duties. Will be ‘interesting’ to watch events unfold with a couple of 16 match bans handed down for punches thrown within the last handful of years.

I guess this is the result of an Executive who hasn’t acted on email’s sent through previously and/or Umpires who allow this sort of behaviour to carry on without consequence for weeks and years because a) don’t have time for mid week tribunal, or b) they are good lads/mates.

You do feel a bit for Units, apparently it may have been a ‘set up’ with spectators carrying on and filming throughout the day, but they have played into the plan and been sucked in. The association deemed it worthy of an official presence in the umpire so must have know things were already tense. Doesn’t excuse the actions that have allegedly transpired however.

Each to their own though.
