Just a thought Norm but maybe if you stop reacting like some someone nicked your lollies everytime this Borat joker sledges you on here then maybe he might give it a rest?

Either that or make some runs...

I know alot of shit is talked on this forum, but I will say this, there is no one suited better than bill fuller to captain sandy creek.. He won the comps MVP award two years ago and finished top 10 in the batting last year with 20 or so wickets to go with it. Theres a long way to go in this season and as an oposition captain im glad we have played him in a 2 dayer already as I reckon he might explode into form sometime soon. As for saturday, im sure he aint the only top order batsmen to fail against angasrons attack. Also while im on here, Birchmore was fantastic saturday, scratchy early but really started to play beaitifully by the end.. He looked to have all the time in the world.

I actually received a phone call from the Scud this morning, must have been in the 5 minutes that he pulled his head out of Norms a**e

I havent seen the dog track that quick since the days of Brian 'Cuddles' Connolly opening the bowling. Jungfer batted well but if the oval is that quick next week then its still game on...

Looks like Nuri flew in the day 2 Newlands pitch from the last test match...19 wickets in a day in the A2s after about 18 in a day a couple of weeks ago in the A1s. Will be a nervous week for number 10 and 11 from Nuri...

Brian 'Cuddles' Connolly wow flashback!! im still noticing the same thing every week not sharing the overs around it seems to be hurting the lads and from what im hearing im not the only one thinking it..... p.s. doof needs more overs hes a magician with the ball also whats happened to stockie

Bowling plenty of overs is fine if the figures are there to support it, i.e. wickets n bugger all runs.....if that's not the case, which it appears to be here, then it does hurt the side. And players ARE talking about it. Stockie had some changes in his personal circumstances so not as committed to playing now, also he's not a fan of some of the changes this season at Centrals. Makes him even less inclined to play at present.

Thanks scud :D I was expecting, and probably deserved a more hostile welcome to crease from yourself ;) I'm sure there will be some chin music from time to time.....righto enough of the piss weak puns. While we're on cricket, I recall a GF over at Long Plains between Hamley and Longies several years ago which still haunts me, not because we lost that day, but more the thought of some blonde hooligan streaking across the oval late in HBs innings :D good value. Is this a common occurrence across in the BLCA? :D

Yes for the 800th time Ty Stock has had some issues with availability due to his first kid being born a couple of months ago and having to work every Saturday...

thats actually all there is to the story...if he wasnt at work he would be playing cricket, for us

Had a look at the Herald this morning and I thought the selectors did a pretty good job with the association squad for the most part. Interested to hear others thoughts...obviously at this stage of the season you are going to have to pick blokes on past performances rather than form in the 3.5 games we have had so far. How far does this go if someone hasnt played in the BLCA before though?

Nope...Squads so far are:

Team one:
Ben Perkins - Nuri
Tom Smith - GV
Ben Parish - Freeling
Luke Stein - Nuri
Christian Gattermayr - Tan
David Golder - South
Justin Schahinger - GV
Mitch Boschen - Tan
Brett Woodards - Ango
John Leinert - Nuri

Team two:
Scott Rathjen - Ango
Tristan Schwartzkopff - Tanunda
Riley Barker - South
Boof Mullins - GV
Aaron King - GC
Josh Vater - GV
Andy Kokot - Sandy
Joey Brown - Kapunda
Brett Burgess - Ango
Matt Blenkiron - Ango

Couple of interesting ones in there I think...

It was up to the clubs to nominate players that were willing to participate in association games but also available for the Country Championships held early in February. The squads are predominately made up of the younger-mid aged players of the association to have a look at, the old timers like D. Doecke, C. Reimann, B. Burgess, B. Lydemore, C. Roberts etc have been given a day off so that the selectors can look at these guys as they are already familiar with the other old wrinkled blokes. They are hoping to have a more of a youth look to the Assoc side so hoping that these younger guys in the squad can step up at representative level.

Last year phone calls as late as Sunday prior to the first day were made to find players for the side. Hopefully this format will prove to be better and we will have a strong side on the park for the week. Dissapointing though cause i was one of the ones that got the phone call and had a ball playing cricket with a different bunch of blokes. Doesnt look like that will happen this year though
