Can't do this week Smasha, but I am interested in making a debut for 'Team Rita'. Late shift would suit me better.

The lad from Paralowie that got in a bit of trouble with the tribunal got a 10 game ban...6 games for semi final incident and 4 for GF incidents...if only the exec stepped up after the semi the GF problems wouldnt have occured.

Understand what you're saying mate, but to a certain extent the SF bs was "he said, she said" kinda stuff. It's a little bit different when an Exec member sees this sorta behaviour for themselves and is able to collaborate stories with evidence. In the end, the clown got what he deserved. Utter w@nker!

Disagree with ya goatie....if its he said/she said why was he suspended for 6 games a month after the fact? The exec obviously believed he did enough to get a suspension but waited till long after the incident to hold a tribunal.....slack. Not only that, allowing a player who should be suspended (and was well after the fact) to play in the GF risked the integrity of the GF and also player safety (which in fact was compromised). By suspending the player a month after the semi the exec has admitted it got it wrong in the first place by allowing him to play in the GF. Suppose the player who got hit in the GF got a broken jaw. The exec would then be liable for lack of duty of care to the players.

Gotta say im not a fan of exec bashing on a public forum but in this case they not only got it wrong but they got it massively wrong.

Produce the evidence, or tell ya story walking. Simple. ;)

Maybe there was evidence produced later on?? Who knows? I don't. And you don't either. ;) It'd probably be a good idea to find out the entire story before you go shooting off at the mouth and bashing the exec about something you don't know anything but third hand information about.

My evidence is the association suspended him....a month later. Unless they subpeonered(?) some close circuit television footage from the grassy knoll, im at a loss to work out what evidence would be available six weeks later that isnt available a week later. I know you have mates on the exec and understand better than i do the work they put into the comp and hate it when keyboard heros like me get stuck into them, but in this case they were way off the mark.

Auto,
Just to let you know the Association (Exe) doesn’t suspend anyone. The Standards Committee decides if an event should be referred to a tribunal or even what action should be taken and then reports it to the Executive. The Executive will then advise the Tribunal Committee. The Executive can report a player, but again it can only refer to a tribunal, it can’t suspend a player. The Tribunal is separate to the Executive. Anyone that has a position on the Executive can’t be on the Tribunal Committee.
Once a matter is referred to Tribunal, a 3 person panel will be put together to hear the case. The Tribunal will (and needs too) make sure that each party has the chance to present their case. I believe (not 100% sure) that each side is allowed to postpone once. It’s the old case of everyone is not guilty until proven otherwise.
There is a process, regardless if we agree or not with the process, it has to be followed.

This is the way i understand the process to happen.

It's got nothing to do with "mates" and everything to do with the facts that; a) you don't know what went on, apart from third party info, and; b) You - or I - were not privy to the process that led to this 'alleged' suspension. What irks me is the assumptions you've made to base your slander on, nothing to do with who's on the Exec.

Anyhow, it's 'fishing season'...... :p ;)

nah all good 8) pg is out due to other duties.
but have harry younger bro to take pg spot , so all good.
just get unhappy if people pull out without enough time to find another player.
