Good effort by Tanner. Little bloke up the other end was creating all the pressure.

Great game and win by TTG yesterday at the Bull ring.

Had Prospect on the ropes at 6/60 and they managed 182 after a few good lower order performances. Once again TTG not being able to kill a team off after having them on the ropes. Brendan Freeman took his first 5 for in Grade cricket and Brad Evans 3 for.

Then Prospect came out and had TTG on the ropes at 6/80 odd and then an important 26 from Hosking (who then threw his wicket away) and 80 odd run partnership from Trav Head (16 years old) and Tim Cronin (no. 10) swung the game in TTGs favour, Trav then got out on 50 which meant Cronin and Brendan Freeman (No.11) had to score the last 10 or so runs. They negotiated a Delaney over who by the way was sensational with 4 wickets and bowled some serious heat all innings and then took the spinner down for the win. Great character shown by the lower order most importantly Trav who batted solidly/patiently for a 16 year old and Tim as a tail ender in his first game at TTG after coming from the Jets showed he is hear to win games of cricket.

The top order will need to improve if we are to compete against the best teams.

Watched the 1st hour or so yesterday and there were a couple of game defining moments each way.
Your correct FS, Delaney certainly pushes them through and will be a real challenge for bats as decks get harder and carry thorugh more..
Could not quite see whether the Evans catch did carry from where I was, but when given out, the game was certainly there for the taking for Prospect...
A very strange bowling change by Fielke to bring on what appeared to be a part timer, when he had finished his spell, as i reckon that over went for 12 or more and you could see the momentum start to change..
Both batsmen started to look quite comfortable from then on..
The little fella that came in did bat well..

Delaney will win games for Prospect no doubt, he just needs a bit of help and keep his body fit. Very handy pick up for the Pirates!

Yeah the Evans catch was iffy, i know Tim was Secpticle but what can ya do, thats cricket! That did give them a good opportunity to seal the game but like TTG did, they let the other team off the hook.

Fielke's bowling change was stange one, hosko took him down and they proved to be handy runs.

Young Trav will be a good A grade cricketer for a long time. He loves cricket, cant hit enough balls at training and loves to compete. He can also keep incase something happens to Diesel.

The above may have been a spelling error but it fits..
How about the run up he had...
It reminded me of Fred Flinstone going 10 pin bowling !!!!

4/10 of 4 overs in a 19 over game on Saturday. If that is not taking poles then I don't know what is :?

Shaun Tanner has probably got 12 votes in the Bradman already after 2 rounds.

Southerns are flying high.

Would be nice to see it stay that way C-H but there's a long way to go yet. Adelaide will test us this week and show us where we're really at.
Boys and girls both unbeaten in Premiership comp ---- lets enjoy the sun while it is shining.
A couple of areas need tidying up, especially in the top order bats. We won't keep getting away with poor starts.
So far the spinners have been magnificent
