it is teams like yours that give comps a bad name  even ross smith tigers went to div 1 knowing they didnt have a chance of winning a game, funny thing was they played every game and lost all , but never complained and still offered to have a beer with you at the end.
so for you too say that if asked to go up you would say no ????
grow some spuds mate , what ever happened to playing as high as you can ?
as for rita playing or not playing for enfield ? well who cares just another wanna be key board hero trying to play in the big leagues..........
step up or shut up , you all know who I am let see rita step up

for starters teams like Seaton and Morialta should be the first to step up..no questions asked but this still remains to be seen!!heard on the grapevine that Morialta arent to keen to go back up to Divvy 1 but on the other hand Seaton are more than willing to go back up so if this is true Seaton up-Ross Smith down..simple really.
A team that won 2 games for the yr and finished 5th does not deserve the opportunity to go up to Div 1..asked or not??Just my opinion!!!!

Agreed Gulls. There should be 4 teams asked to go up to Div 1 before they ask Enfield, no question about it. ;)

I think there was 2 points. The first one is above. The 2nd one is that IF by some divine intervention that Enfield A's ever are in a position to be one of the first asked, the mentality of the players within the Club is such that they'd run far & wide to avoid fronting up against a Div 1 side. In fact, IF Enfield were ever elevated again into Div 1, their C's would be unbackable fave's for the flag and to scoop their divisional batting & bowling awards.. ;)

PS; Ya gotta at least hold 'em off your own bowling son.. ;) 8)

In the next installment of the history of cricket clubs comes “the history of the Para Vista Lutheran Cricket Club”

It all started in 1983 when Richard Huntington the third and Cecil Greenbach the second were talking about the gentlemanly game of cricket over a few reislings. Richard said, “Cecil old chum we should start a cricket club in the local area for all the young virile members of the local church”. “Bravo, splendid idea old chum”, said Cecil
A lawyer, accountant and a CEO were brought in and the contract signed to begin initial deliberations on the make up of the club. Within hours the club had won its first premiership. It was at this stage that the accountant William of Glocester III suggested limiting player availability to only young lads with incomes over $98,000. And so it become regulation 6(a) in the PVLCC player handbook with amendments 6(b) and 6(c).

Just to elaborate, both amendments are exemption qualifiers..

6(b) ; When referring to 6(a), "income" may also be construed to be 'potential' income. ie; If you write blogs from home, deliver retail store catelogues or get involved a pyramid scheme that's loosely classified as 'multi-level marketing' due to a shyteful product or dodgy service, you can 'potentially' earn $98,000+.

6(c) ; 'Income' can also equate to the receipt of Centrelink payments under false identities that total $98,000+ in any given financial year.

The Club awarded me a player's exemption under 6(b) and J.Michel's A Grade career was kicked off under 6(c).. ;)
