Atco will struggle for sure unless they can recruit well, they got to play Central District in round 1 when they hardly fielded a side to which they won outright and got sh!tloads of points out of. They also defeated a depleted Playford outright to help them through to 2nd top. That's they way the cookie crumbles and they have no say over the draw, so good on them, I think they'll find it tough though. They got flogged by Central United in round 9, Smithfield beat them twice and Virginia proved to be far too good for them.
Virginia have some talent, Seccafien has come a long way with his bowling, they have some solid experience with the bat and ball, I think they'll be around the middle somewhere, they'll win some games that they probably shouldn't and lose some that they probably shouldn't, a capable team though. I think they only lost one game last year.

As far as the one day game factor, I'm not fussed, I'm sure the delegates will argue it out and come up with the best scenario.

They are great to play against, they love to sledge and get annoyed if you don't return favour, what happens on the field stays on the field, always good to catch up with Johhny, Al and the boys.

Are non-playing coaches a thing of the past or are there still some around. While on the coach thing, what would you guys consider decent coin for a coach in div 1 or 2.

That's how much our one got, with a $250 bonus if we made the GF, he ended up with $750, yes, he was a player.

I knew that, I think I was just re-assuring (Boof). That's where I get caught in limbo at the moment, we need a new coach, I'm probably not good enough nowadays to play any significant role in the A's, I don't know whether I should take it on and not play, take it on and play or try to coax someone to come and do the job.

I've captained our B's for the last few years with the occaisonal game in the A's when required, IMO it's essential that you have a set scorer each week and some off-field input into what needs improving, therefore I'm unsure whether a playing or non-playing coach is the way to go.

Sorry mate, I'm loyal to my club, I do get along very well with Bomber and Corey, always stop for a good chat on presentation nights, get along with Handsy pretty well too. You guys should advertise in the Bunyip, I'm sure you'll get a few good applicants, one of the big guns of the PDCA.

No hint there, I just think that you guys have got an excellent foundation up there and anyone who had any interest in coaching a side would have to be keen for the Sandy Creek job.

Trinity grade 6. Just came back after two years off. Should have stayed away. Went out there just to train for fittnes then they asked me to play. About ten of the boys from sandy play there so i just went out for a run with them.

Interesting to hear what other clubs offer for coaches.

I know Ozzie was offered a rather large wad of cash to captain/coach Two Wells the year Stama was going to join you boys at Sandy..... That was ridiculous money for hard wicket cricket. It included a base plus a heap of performance based bonuses that he no doubt would've achieved. Ended up playing for nothing at Salisbury West as usual. Silly boy......loyal, but silly.
