HAHAHA!!! YEEEEESS!!!

This has absolutely made my day! [emoji38] [emoji38] [emoji38]

Hahaha, worse thing was he had a go at the umpire about it lol. Gotta love him, tells me to defend and see the over out when I came out to bat then the first ball of the next over he flashes at a shortish, wide ball and nicks up and the keeper takes a sharpe catch to win the game.

Classic!

He's nicknamed himself at Ingle Farm "Big Time Player" - so this opportunity to rib him about his YUCK effort is too good to pass up

He's a good lad though, quality value - and will be a very good cricketer as he gets older I think.

In other news, how old is Jay Oxlade now? He's surely pushing 50?

Big time player? Hell, that's some ammo.

Don't know Jay's age off the top of my head, 46/47 I think.

Tell him your mates with a couple of the Youth Centre lads, one of them has got splinters in his hands from when he picked up the ball after the last wicket falling. :D

How were Amanpal & Daljeet Singh able to play for Keswick Saturday in Section 1, when their own club Desi had a game in C&CCA which they forfeited and there was no clearance lodged for them to go back to Keswick?

They just pick and choose when and where they want to play?

The Dark Knight wrote:Yeah cheers for bringing it up Booney. Absolutely disgusted with what happened Saturday, we were cruising to victory and well on top at 4/186. Then we just completed capitulated, guys playing stupid shots and throwing their wickets away but credit goes to their leg spinner who came on and took 5/6!! Completely turned the game on its head. WYC's first win of the season and we just handed to them on a Silver platter.

And Bedge- Jake Finch was the last wicket, caught behind as I watched from the other end, he was adamant he didn't hit but he hit the cover of it lol.

I can tell you a story bout Finch when he was playing in my team.
He was opening the batting (not sure why, we mustve been about 8 short) and was given out LBW for a duck, he then proceeded to go out and umpire and give 4 of us out LBW, the finger was up before they appealed.
Just a tip for all opposing teams, full balls at the stumps works every time, hes a dud, cant imagine hes improved greatly in 18 months. Does he get a bowl? Rates himself with that too but bowls genuine tripe

How do you know there was no permit to play lodged ?

Probably was. What a mockery of the clearance/permit systems then when you can have players pick and choose where they play from week to week and are allowed to play in a "rival" association instead of playing for their own team who end up forfeiting - their team which they created.

I was told that a player can return to his "home" club from a different club only if that club was still playing that weekend.
If there was a bye or rained out then the player can not come back and play one game just to fill in a gap in his cricket calendar.
So unless The 2 singhs intend on returning to Keswick full time then I would be surprised if they were given a permit.

We had a dude that would play in our lowest team (one dayers) that there was no in between, if he batted down the order and we were doing well he'd fire a few out to make sure he got a hit, if we let him bat early he'd get out for f*** all and be pissed off to the max and demand to umpire the rest of the innings and not give a thing........................................we just let him open each week.
