Oh well we got rolled today in what can only be described as one of our worst performances since our arrival into ASCA!
Corro just bowled the right lines and lengths and took full advantage! Well bowled Max Cheek with a 5fa.

Heard a whisper that Belair beat Keswick in the last over or so.

How did the FEVOLUTION go today??????????

Sets up a VERY BIG clash for us against Morphies for the Sleazy Cup.

Looking at the scores online Keswick's last wicket fell on the 1st ball of the last over

Congrats to Club President Glen Rosie on scoring his first century for the club in section 7 yesterday. A great clubman who has played in every grade over his career. Well done G!

Had around 200-250 at Plympton Oval yesterday, was a great crowd making lots of noise and all car parks were full. I don't think I've ever seen a crowd like that at Plympton Oval to watch a cricket match.

If you had to pick a day to make your maiden 100 (apart from a GF) yesterday was the day and the noise was bloody loud when Az got there.

Fev's first spell was quick, and miserly. He took the new ball much to the delight of the crowd. His second spell came at a point where ICC needed 10 an over at the death so they took a few from him then.

Apart from the result I think ICC really enjoyed it, and came into the rooms for a few beers afterwards.

The night was great and we also raised a lot of money for the McGrath Foundation.

Fev is a top bloke and a lot of fun to go to town with too, I just dropped him at the airport and I think he's still a bit under the weather!

Cove defeated glenelg yesterday in a solid performance, once again played in good spirits.
A big thanks to the glenelg boys for a great arvo tea spread.
Sam "oragami" Titterton 2 fielding votes for 1 catch, 3 misfields and 2 shanked run out attempts. But we still love him long time xx

Can't go wrong with four dollar supers. If your ground was not so far away I reckon we were all gonna get food as well!

No worries Bazza. I owe you one next time. I was drooling when the big fella collected his mixed grill only 20 mins after the game finished. Had to wait another hour before the bbq at weymouth oval...

The NH mixed grill is the stuff of legend, you should of got one AF. I have it pretty much every Thursday and Saturday night during footy season and now during cricket season/footy pre-season too. Our cook Archer does a great job.

As the ladder currently stands, here are my comments and predictions for the remainder of the minor rounds:

1. Cove - (to play: Sth Rd, Plympton, Keswick, ICC) - Should go through the rest of the year unbeaten, provided they can get over the line this game against Sth Rd. 4/4

2. South Rd - (to play: Cove, WYC, Ramblers, Belair) - Tough two matches coming up against Cove & WYC. Should win at least 2/4

3. Coromandel - (to play: ICC, Keswick, ANA, Nth Haven) - We are confident if we bring our best each week for the next 4 games we can win the next 4/4.

4. Keswick - (to play: Nth Haven, Coro, Cove, Morphies) - Two matches against two sides above them will be the challenges. 2/4

5. WYC - (to play: Morphies, Sth Rd, ICC, Ramblers) - Should bounce back and predicting they should win their remaining games. Dont think WYC have had their best side on the park at the same time once yet this season. Once they do, will be hard to beat. 4/4.

6. Ramblers - (to play: Plympton, Morphies, Sth Rd, WYC) - Could win four if they bring their best to each game. However predicting 2/4.

7. Morphettville Pk - (to play: WYC, Ramblers, Nth Haven, Keswick) - As above, depending on how their batting goes posting large totals. 1/4.

8. ICC Sharks - (to play: Coro, ANA, WYC, Cove) - Very tough back end of the season. Tipping a win against ANA 1/4

9. Plympton - (to play: Ramblers, Cove, Belair, ANA) May be a harsh prediction but i dont think Plympton will win another one until Rd 11. 1/4

10. Belair - (to play: ANA, Nth Haven, Plympton, Sth Rd) - Are a better side than to have only just registered their first win this week. Will finish strongly with 3/4.

11. North Haven - (to play: Keswick, Belair, Morphies, Coro) - Can only really judge on previous statistical performances. 0/4

12. Glenelg ANA - (to play: Belair, ICC, Coro, Plympton) Lack of depth should see the 2009/10 premiers go winless for the season. 0/4

Final Predictions for end of Rd 11:
1. Cove
2. Coromandel
3. Sth Rd
4. WYC
5. Keswick
6. Ramblers
7. Belair
8. Morphettville Pk
9. ICC Sharks
10. Plympton
11. North Haven
12. Glenelg ANA

Crunch matches:
Rd 8 - Cove v Sth Rd - South Rd could all but secure a double chance if they win this game.
Rd 9 - Coro v Keswick - One of these sides could cement their spot in finals, with the losers season going down to the wire.
Rd 10 - Cove could set up a 'highest-points-in-the-minor-rounds-for-a-long-long-time' finish, whilst a loss from Keswick in this game would see them fighting for finals on the final day of the season.
Rd 11 - Belair v Sth Rd - Belair finishing the season with 5 wins on the trot could stand in the way of Sth Rd finishing 2nd in this match.
Rd 11 Ramblers v WYC - If Ramblers play well in their next 3, this could be the game that decides 4th.

Association Team: This is my association representative side which I believe should be selected on recent form and not reputation.
1. D Thomas
2. M Ledgard
3. S Krutli (wk)
4. H Mackay
5. M/S Thomas :)
6. G Bruce
7. D Rowe
8. M Cheek
9. B Pomeroy
10. R McCard
11. J Muir
R Calder 12th man

Also, hopefully it wont be needed this weekend, but what are the rules regarding rain affected T20 matches?
