Club of the year - thinking about it, i dont think Brahma won it last year, and we won Grade 1, 2, 5. Lost Grade 8 and out in the semi in 7.

Just making a point, nothing else.

Wouldnt DJ Mac captain westies next season?

Only one of the youth who have captained a senior side isnt he? Even if it was only for a couple of games...

Was a brilliant couple, except the one where he didnt rock up the second week and the one where he took off straight after he got out. Apart from that was brilliant.

Do like the bloke though, got along with him real well, was just bad timing for him the move to EP.

Having played for Para Teachers a few years back i am flabergasted they won the award. Maybe it has something to do with Jonesy being on the Exec. committee. Will be interesting to see how many old players go back there now that they have moved up a grade. I do know they are pushing to have two sides next year though, maybe thats where the wasleys connection comes in, also Graeme Connor would have a big influence on bringing them across being their ex-captain and all. Goodluck to them it would be good to see them back up in the top two grades in the coming years

Heard that too at the semi, bit of a shame, waste of a lush oval.

Yeah not sure what the connection is but a heap of the Wasley boys were at the semi and were all saying they were playing for teachers next season.

Mate of mine Graham Connor whom lives in wasleys, was the captain for the last 1 and a bit years. He left early this year after a disagreement so to speak with the club and went back to play for Para teachers this season. Maybe Graham knows a few of these and have followed him out there for next season. Wasleys is just to small a town at the moment to have a competitive cricket side. With Football in neighbouring towns like Freeling, Gawler and Hamley Bridge, people would just stick with there clubs they play footy at.

On the other hand if they had a decent pub like Dublin has, they may have attracted more players for a small town lol.

Well done to Bradley Woodward. Central United CC Cricketer of the year. 28 wickets, 239 runs, 16 fielding votes, 8 catches and 2 run outs. 1st season in grade 1 , he will be much better prepared next season after this seasons experience, also played the samca 20/20 comp and u/21 pdca comp, both of which , gave him the chance to play on adelaide oval twice, fair to say , hes had an ok season. :D

Heard a murmur that some teams from Churches Comp have begun to investigate applying for inclusion into PDCA.
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

That's just so they can post in this thread with Lightning's more lenient moderating.
