more than a little embarassing that the Grade 1 premiers couldn't even show up to collect their awards

Also Para Teachers in Grade 4 got club of the year.. :? WTF?!? How does a single team club in the lower echelons even come into consideration?!?!

Scott Keylock apparently was sniffing around for highest bidder for his services next season. Opening bid began at $10 and a pizza but after polling 6 votes in the McKenzie believe it blew out to $10 and THREE pizzas - All party!! Craigmore have firmed as the favourite for his autograph..

:-"
perhaps a review is now in order on how the award works
should be a minimum number of sides to qualify

perhaps have a weighting as well
Grade 1 = 8 points premiers, 7 runner up and so on
Grade 2 is then same points but weighted at 0.9
Garde 3 the same weighted at 0.8
and so on through the grades

You then add up each Clubs points and divide by total number of sides to get the winner

Just a starting point off the top of my head

And to those slagging us off.... We were at the presentation that really mattered... About 4:30 Sunday afternoon and having drinks with our good mates, Rosies ;)

Well done to Andy Carmen. Jenner 2nd?

Trophy and medals are handed on after the game so not sure what there is to recieve on a presentation night? Although you would think that some of the players could still attend.

Something's gotta happen, it was a bit of a farce. Teachers were allowed to drop a few grades where other clubs weren't and got belted, it resulted in the demise of Central District, North Pines got bowled out for 9 or something stupid a few years back, Wasleys have done it tough since Trevillan left, if anyone should be recognised, it should be them, to continually rock up and get belted and display a love for the game is commendable.

Agree with Wasleys, they do it tough week in week out without complaint.
The Teachers thing that really irks me is the fact they didn't even really have a successfull season until making the finals by default  Would've thought a club like Angle Vale (2x teams in Grand Finals, 1x Semi Final) or Salis West (3x teams finals - unlucky not to be 4, 1x premiership) or Rose & Crown (4x teams finals, 2x grand finals, 1x premiership), even Craigmore I thought would've been a chance given the start to the season and the way they finished off!

Is the club of the year done by vote? Whats the criteria?
I can't see a club with one or team teams, with no womens, no juniors etc being a club of the year?
Sure they came back from the brink of 5th place in Grade 4, but surely thats.. team of the year contender? Not the whole club?
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

Para Teachers club of the year. Pfft. Unless it's speed of updating the mycricket site then 1 side that scrapes into grade 4 finals with a huge dose of luck shouldn't even be anywhere near a club of the year award. And people wonder why Salisbury West weren't well represented. Nothing to be presented with, not a great night in all honesty and a lot of it's a farce. I'm sure some of the A graders would have gone if they could have, but it's not a night to shift other commitments for.

Thats true, after single handedly leading R&C B grade to premiership glory he has agreed to help out the poor mob at Central United gain success in the top flight ;)

Rather not make to the final dance and get embarrassed by dropping sitters (talking to you catchit)...

thats a typical comment from a loser. i heard you was going to get stuck into me on the weekend? get all shy mate?

wasn't down there champa... has better things to do then watch you drop catches...

Just quietly with PT set to go to Grade 3 next season, and Wasleys being punished from pillar to post for X amount of seasons.. exactly how will these city based players strengthen PT?! :?

Also what's the chances Ryan Dickens to Craigmore next season?? ... be due for a club change wouldnt he?

Yeah not sure what the connection is but a heap of the Wasley boys were at the semi and were all saying they were playing for teachers next season.
