Would be interesting to get Sherminator's thoughts on the move of Binns and Bartsch to Aldinga. I've got a feeling Sherm would have an intimate knowledge of Bartschy's reason's for the move, but what about Binnsy? He seems to be one of those "play where you live" blokes.. has something happened at Compass to force Binnsy's move?

I'm not sure why you would think that Offcutter!

I would think that both Bartsch and Binns would be staying at Compass. I can only think of one reason why Bartsch would go to Aldinga, and that would have something to do with his cricketing hero, Jason Ifould. I have been told that back in the early 90's when Bartsch was just a lad, he lived in McLaren Flat and could often be found at the oval on a Saturday arvo marvelling at the skills of a young JI plying his trade for McLaren Districts. Bartsch always wanted to emulate the great man's on field performances, alas his distinct lack of ability proved a major hurdle. Perhaps a move to Aldinga, followed by a return to McLarens in a few years time could be on the cards. If he cannot emulate JI's on-field antics, by completing the McLarens to Compass to Aldinga back to McLarens career plan, he could become closer to his hero!

Haha! That's gold. Yep more clubs than Greg Norman!!

As I said, you and Bartschy seem very close.. Next time you "see" Batschy, just keep telling him to play straight.. Would not want to pick up any of Ifould's techniques. Across the line mow's is about all it is these days..

Yep, my source tells me that a certain player from Aldinga that could be known as 2Fat2Old has scared both boys away with way too much man love once the beers started flowing. Maybe it is time to start a 2 drink curfew on training nights. :partyman:

Looking forward to a good year this year boys, by the sounds of it should be a great competition this year, with some more experienced players joining the league and the youth coming through looks very promising.

have it on good authority that the bays have got john harrison back from kensington this year, and have also picked up matt overall. if this is true, it could be a long year for the rest of us.

these to to join butler, lintern, edwards, moller etc etc. yeah good luck with that

I would hope a good young kid like that would not chuck it all away at his age.

I assume Matt is Richie Overall's son? If so, perhaps it is just for a season to play with the old man?
