$30 on Lodge to beat Panthers, into S.Baker to outscore J.Nuske, into Sals Nth to beat Wasleys.

Cheerz mate

Welcome aboard, no probs and a 120.95 return.

Tx mate, reasonably confident in quadrupling my money:

Lodge will have a home ground advantage at that pathetic excuse for a Grade 1 pitch (Greenwith).
From all reports S.Baker is a pretty solid bat & J.Nuske is hit or miss.
And surely, surely Sals Nth wont lose to Wasleys.

Yeah but some people may feel like there not good enough to just rock up and try out maybe?
Creedy didnt even no about it for starters and the likes of b jenner were not asked who imo is the best keeper batsmen going around atm, angle vale boys were not at the 20/20 so prob didnt no about it as well? as phantom and gunnerson said being asked is the way to go i think..

sounds like pdca has the same problems as churches, I mean churches leaves it all for 1 bloke the big herder.
so why dont a few of you older lads (catchit, phantom) or who ever try and take over and run things? or just get 1 person from all teams to put their hands up and help out, just a thought.
on a other matter you are never too old to play assoc games, I watched the old fellas at r&c the other sat and some of them still have it . maybe just need better communication between the players and the assoc team selectors imo.
other than that will see you lads on sunday , good luck to both teams.

Come on lets not bullsh!t here, Hargraves? Keeper from PG? A couple of young blokes? WTF is that about? People not being personly invited has made PDCA look like a week comp, i have no doubt the likes of Ozlins, Sibbick ,Leo , Stamatovich, are to old and slow ;)
There is plenty of other talent out there and for them not to be contacted is a disgrace, relying on a bit of paper to get the message makes it very unprofesional and needs to be looked at for the next game. Why wouldnt Scott want to contact people? Maybe not his job but why not take it to the next level? I sure hope its not because he is worried about losing captaincy to a better player?

The keeper from PG is outstanding mate, there's plenty more bowlers loafing around before I'd pick Lynch, I wasn't at training so I can't judge on what was there to go by. Players would be more likely to attend if they were personally invited.

I agree. I'm still waiting for my invite! ;)
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

I think Brenton needs to make another score before he can be called the best, i have never seen him keep so i cant comment on that, is it 5 runs if the ball hits the milk crate he stands on?

What is the keepers name LM? Where is he from? How many runs has he scored? Pretty hard to go past Chad for best keeper.

Barry Dowling, can't bat for sh!t, hangs around but has an inability to score freely. He got more stumpings than catches last season.

I would love to be involved in selection but have never been approached... I think trainings are just a way to pick a side on who ever rocks up.. 12 people should be picked and suspensions given for not rocking up if it was to be serious.. I remember kev thomas telling me he was available a few years back and didnt rock up and im pretty sure he was suspended?

brenton has done more than enough with the bat with the oppertuneties he has had, and his keeping has been outstanding... as for the milk crate? unfortunatly it would be 10 runs... he uses 2 crates ;)

yes catchit, I agree fully mate, there should be penaltys for being named and not having a good reason not to play.
I remember the good old days when you would be ecstatic to be chosen to represent your assoc.
maybe too many young ones in teams nowadays that play for themselves ? it is fine if people dont want to be part of assoc but then dont complain when a team is picked and then bag the crap out of it. well this is what happens in churches anyway ,
I am 40 and still playing because too many younger guys have soooo many excuses why they cant play  good for me but surely their should be enough players to fill a side.
do you have the same probs in your assoc.

Valid point regarding complaining about the selected side if people claim they are unavailable.

2 pretty handy bowlers stated their availability but weren't selected which has raised some eyebrows though, and is the point of discussion really.
