i hear there is possibly a T20 comp this yr between all the different leagues.

top 4 from div 1 in para districts, churches, adelaide turf and cant remember the other one lol.

each association play against them selves and the top team goes through and then the grand final is hoping to be played at adelaide oval.

I believe Adelaide turf had a similar thing last yr.

anyone got any more info on this?

I think the proposal is even bigger. It will include Metro and Country clubs/associations competing in a Club T20 competition. 4 Clubs from each of the 4 Metro associations will play each other with the two winners playing off in GF at Adelaide Oval. Country associations will run a similar competiton to come up with 2 finalists that will also play a GF at Adelaide Oval the same day as the Metro GF. The winner from Metro plays the winner from Country in a twilight GF the same day.

It's up to each Association to work out which Club represents their Association. Adelaide Turf have run a T20 comp for a few years now and I would assume last years winner Grange would represent them if this competition went ahead.

From the proposal ive seen, its the top four from each comp (last year top four teams), play each other and those two play another two from another comp. 4 city based comps times 4 teams each comp = 16 teams, works perfect for an eliminator. Didnt say anything about country teams in the proposal.

Im only guessing Oz, I spoke to a guy at footy who plays at Salisbury West and he only said that a quick from AHOS may be coming out with you so because Wazz only played here and there last year, thought it may have been him. Doesnt he live out this way somewhere?

That's not quite how I understood the proposal, but you may be right. What I read was a little ambiguous. GF is scheduled for Sunday 6 Feb 2011 at Adelaide Oval. If you have 16 teams in a knockout comp, they will have to play three rounds to end up with the 2 Grand Finalists. Fitting all these games in with Saturday comp and each Associations T20 Comp will be a nightmare. I'm guessing Turf T20 comp is likely to consist of 4 Qualifying games followed by QF, SF and GF - there's 7 weeks that are already tied up. Any word on PDCA T20 comp for this year?

Heard Playford have only nominated 2 teams and want to field these sides in div 5 and 8.

Apparently they are only expecting 2 or 3 A graders from last season to play there this season.

Warren Mitchell will carve up the PDCA. Quality bowler, if true will make a fairly handy opening bowling combo with Davies.

Just talked to Waz two minutes ago and he laughed and stated definitely not going to happen. If anything would be a one game cameo after Christmas after he gets married but chances of even that occurring are ridiculously slim. Rumour put to bed.
