The hot tip from training tonight is if Fitzies C grade are bundled out of the finals Tommy K is going on an FUIC strike, starting immediatly. The funniest thing from training tonight was young junior Pidge running in to bowl singing/humming the star wars theme trying to intimidate the batter, funny as ****

So Fitzies C grade are in the finals. Apparently, and this is only second hand info and im not one to spread incorrect information, Brooklyn Park had claimed unclaimable bonus points in four matches this year. So that would see Fitzies v Enfield in a Div 4 semi this week. And just so you know the third shift at farmers union is safe.

fellow poster's,

it is with great sadness that i confirm that the paralowie sports and social club will be no longer as of the close of bussiness on sunday the 27th of march. this is the results of many on-going issues that can not be fix. it is my belief that the council were going to close the doors and take back ownership of the building during the week ending 26/02/2011 but thanks to peter clarkson going to the council explaining we have 2 sides in cricket finals they extending it till the 27/03/2011. it was only about 3 or 4 years again the council wanted to build units there i guess that time has come.....

after seeing all the emotion that L/M has just gone through with smithfield it really is a sad day in my opinion that clubs like your smithfield's and paralowie's are closing the doors. to be honest it has'nt really sunk in yet dont think it really will till the 27th rolls around.
to add to late what happens now with a side pulling out of div5 and now div6???

i personally have been involved in paralowie for over 26 years played 199 games of footy there and who knows how many games of cricket as paralowie have never kept games played of cricket! but i've never played cricket for anyone else and have played every year at paralowie since the age of 6 or 7 with adam barnes.

along the way i've made life long friends, been through births, deaths, marriages and plenty more moments i'll never forget like i said it just has'nt sunk in yet that paralowie wont be there any longer. i just cant believe it right now i'm lost for words...........

so heres hoping paralowie go out with a bang and finish on a high this season in going as far as we can in the finals starting with magill this week
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Sorry to hear that guys. Especially yourself Dutchy, after such a long involvement. :( That's s#!t news.. It's a tough gig these days keeping sports & social clubs afloat. Hopefully you'll all stay in the comp, whether playing as a stand-alone Club or within existing C&CCA club/s. See far too many cricket clubs folding these days. :? All the best guys. 8)

I'm led to believe the former mate. I don't think the govt. would take possession of the building because of a lack of numbers.. :p ;)
