Fair assessment auto. Although Stancl got 4-fa - had 4/16 off 6 before the skipper replaced him with Pidge, who leaked runs in his 2nd spell.. Good bunch of talented, young lads who gelled well in their first match and enjoyed playing together. And too right mate, OB is a machine! Organised the drinks, made lunch himself, organised training, picked the side and served as taxi service for the McLeod boys.

Special mention to Burgo for scoring. Thanks mate! Even Tige was blown away by the tidiness of your scorebook!

Perhaps El' Futuris can talk us through this 2nd ball he faced..??

Think it's fair to say the future isn't looking to bright with poor batting like this, and in regards to the catch, nothing more can be said that it was a pure fluke!!

@ Typey, I didn't even spot your 'mining' effort in fact, it was the 'manager' who advised me that I'd just captured this particular event. My timing was nowhere near as good as yours about 4-5 posts ago.

Really impressed with Stancl too, showed good leadership with bat, ball & in the field. A lot more composed & confident than the SAMCA match back in Dec'10. Played some great shots in his 30, including 3 zacks from sweet pull shots.

Top idea there bashforcash tho i originally read your charity as homophobia foundation and wondered if you were serious until i re-read it. By sending out invites to all cricket comps youre obviously looking to enlarge what we had this year. So whats your thinking in terms of which comps are playing who? Also maybe you should start your own thread.

It would be nice to involve more associations in the day as it could help increase the size of the crowd we get. It may be difficult to get a hold of some of the entertainment we had at the previous day. Bouncy castle etc.... people are usually willing in extreme circumstances to offer "free-bes" but when you ask for it annually you hit brick walls. Hopefully, as I have official support from the HFA, and will have license numbers, it may entice people to continue their support. I am really looking for a large company to offer and "long term" (2 or 3 years) sponsorship to the event to also help encourage others to join the cause.

Im hoping that by offering games against a diff association every year we can keep all of the "better" players interested in playing. The teams we had at the Queensland day were fantastic and it would be amazing to keep those players coming back!

I was thinking of playing PDCA vs CCCA and B&L vs ATCA this year then rotating the fixture every year. With each assoc fielding a "masters" and a "First XI" so there would be 4 games on the day.

Commiserations to the U/23s. Must have been a tight match, Rose Park did the right thing for Stancl and put him in good form for it, and yes you don't bowl short to the bloke as he loves it! OB team manager of the century again, Tarca uses his footy skills in the field and I for one was interested in the skipper's 'Borgasms' count? Unfortunately for me I'm gonna cop some 'Borgasms' on Saturday
