Judging my mycricket it appears they only had 8 players but 11 is still fairly poor.
Noticed a couple of forfeits in lower grades this week so with that being their lowest grade good on them for making the hike up to Saddleworth, they could have easily decided it was too hard and pulled the pin. Would be fairly demoralising for the guys that made the trip though.

Agree RR, that's a good effort not to pull the pin (especially on a water bag trip). I wonder however what the club (SC) think now of the Willaston XI who were happy to dominate the 3's comp for a couple of seasons?

Out of last years A3 side 6 are playing A2's who are currently 2nd, 1 has moved clubs, 1 is interstate working and 3 are having a year off due to other comittments. All the Willaston boys are involved at the club so I fail to see an issue

Wasn't having a go Jim, just wanted to get the clubs perspective on the matter. If young blokes have come up and are playing in higher grades, then this can only be good for the club itself. My point was that I wasn't sure if young guys were available but couldn't squeeze their way into that A3 side in the past.

Fair point. Last season we had the 2 a3 sides, 1 was made up of the social cricketers who didnt train and just wanted a hit for fun with their mates. The other side was younger and made up of the more comitted ones but unfortunately didnt do aswell on the field. We lost a fair bit of experience in the off season and the club decided to only have 1 A3 side this year and play more youth in the 1's and 2's. So far this season we have had 3 u16's play A1's, in 1 game we played a 14yo and 15yo together. We are definately seeing more young kids filter through which is good because our 1's is a fairly ageing group

Surely it's just common sense that the finals venues will be

Semi A1 - stockwell
- Kapunda

Semi A1 res. - nuri
- sandy/eudunda

Reckon Nuri will be hosting an A1 final this year, just a matter of if its a Semi or GF

Kapunda being annihalated by Centrals, about to lose outright.
Kapunda lads were a tad nervous until they heard the news that Nuri lost.
Could be a long couple if years coming up for Nuri in the Ressies
Any idea of venues for finals yet?

Like most people I hate Centrals but they are the best side in the comp and everyone will see that this weekend, I predict them to destroy Freeling, Solly to take a bag. The other semi looks tighter, both sides are hit and miss with the bat but Ango have a bit more quality with the ball and should get home in a tight one.

Pretty broad statement RR, what have they done to upset you so much? From what I've seen, most of the teams in all grades get on pretty well off the field.
