Tiger Couple wrote:It is what it is the lower grades sometimes. In Section 5 last year we copped Luders first game back from injury and thankfully he smart enough to know he would get blokes out pitching it up and didn't kill anyone.

This year we played Blesing from Coro Ramblers first game back for the year.

When blokes start the season late or come back from injury they can start off anywhere and you are either lucky it not against you or unlucky if it is. Both guys played the game in the right spirit and played the game in the right manner. However I notice the ICC bloke has played Section 1 this year so its interesting to drop 5 grades.

Had a ball playing in sect 5 yesterday. Hamilton's number four batsman drove me through mid off in one of the sweetest drives anyone has ever hit off me. Hamilton were also kind enough to give me a fielding vote which was tbh quite suprising!

There has be be some reason why Diener played sect 6 yesterday. Is he playing both weeks? Is he playing with a family member? Lets not be so quick to judge other clubs when we dont know the whole story.

Ramblers fought back at the end of the day through their two quicks. Having Keswick 6/24 is pretty amazing at the end of the day. Shouldn't lose from there. Could possibly enforce the follow on as well.

Good comeback from Keswick really, heard they were 6/1! Still up for grabs seeing McRae, Curyer and Mackay batting 9,10 and 11.

If there were to be betting on ASCA.. it would be interesting to see the odds on the Ramblers and Keswick.
Ramblers $1.90 Keswick $2.60 I'd say....

Cheers Moose. I'll chuck 1000 on the ramblers and 700 on Keswick and guarantee myself a profit

Good luck! Pity you have to wait until March to play the game.

Would anyone consider it "below the belt" for a club to advertise for players with a large banner fixed to a fence on an opposition club's home ground?

it's certainly ambitous... nothing stopping the home club taking it down... i would! Probably only last about 10 minutes on a fence at our club...

Some huge games this round coming up.

Cove v Morphys - grudge match if there is ever one. Cant see Cove losing this one. In fact, i can't see them losing another game for the minor round.
WYC - Plympton - grand final rematch. Plympton lose this and they can nearly kiss finals good bye
Keswick v Glenelg - Keswick needing to continue winning these games against the bottom sides to make the 4. Glenelg need a win to get of the bottom
Ramblers v Belair - Belair needing a win to give themselves some breathing space from Glenelg. Ramblers, well jeeze they need to bounce back big time
Coromandel v South Road - This could be a game that decides 2nd spot at the end of the year or if they miss the 4. Huge game for both sides
Icc v North Haven - Worse game of the round. Will be relatively close though i reckon. NH to bounce back after the outright loss
