Jon Smith or Smasha... even if he thinks he's taking a back seat this year

The only way Smasha will take a back seat is if he rips out the front seat ala hightower....

Smasha, Superbad or John Smith

thanks for the vote there pidge.........
but I will be more of an extra this year hopefully . wanna take a backwards step this year and let some new bowlers take the reigns..
but we shall see I guess.......
churches is getting a bit more of a joke lately , due to the lateness of the programing, I mean come on we play this saturday..... get it together guys, today is tuesday 4 more sleeps then we start the season.....
will be good to have a beer with steve and couger from rose park though.

Go easy on us this week Smasha ;) I don't want to see another innings like last year  And are you still going to try to hit that first ball for 6? That would make it 3 from 3 against us

Looking forward to it Smasha, we'll have some new faces but Steve won't be playing due to his indoor cricket injury :( , but if he's there we'll certainly join you for a beer afterwards.

mate, I will def be taking it easy since I can barely move. played in the 13th masters game games and played 12 games in three days, won gold in the over 40s and won bronze in the over 35s......hell yeah.....now cant breathe without something hurting.
will still try and hit first ball for six as I always do , but we will see if I can actually hit the ball first.
but beer after the game (or during 8) ) will def be on the cards.

(sorry not the best speller) if we all share the workload we can be pretty strong.
well enough crap for one day.........give me the ball , you wear a helmet, umpire get out of my way, time to play the game I love....... see you all out there soon......good luck to all. but not to much.

Did see you do well at the Masters games. Looks like fun and I might have a go when I qualify in a few years time ;)

Helmet is ready mate, just remember I hate full tosses, half volleys, slow half-trackers and any delivery bowled by Andrew Bevan. :-s

I'll be all fired up for this clash too Smasha after going to The Wiggles concert in the morning

Roll your eyes all you like stupid.. I was talking to Dutchy and he was seriously considering playing the whole season out there.
This forum is dead, I was just trying to create some interest, can't see you doing anything!!

As for Hoddo and Cossens, good for them playing in a Grade 6 side against a bunch of blokes who a) should be playing in your comp and b) dont know which end of the bat to hold!

Since you only want to talk about "likeliness", it's most likely PV will continue their dominance in this dying competition whilst NEK & Fitzroy battle it out for runner up, with Fitz most likely defeating the tough 'Baldo Knights' while most other sides will only make up numbers, but may snag a lucky win or two here or there.

In the lower grades it'll be the same crap as every other year since sides like Enfield & CM never move from the same divisions, and teams continue to play the same sides year in year out.

Finally this thread will be dominated by Auto's quirky humor, baldo whinging about his ageing body whilst dominating teams and being apologetic about it, and a bunch of PV blokes all using the same user name to post utter rubbish

Tim Hodson or Jeff Clarke. Allrounders and umpires recognize the bald brothers more than others.

tough call! Jon Smith is a handy bat and if smasha can smash a few hundreds in 20 balls and take 20+ wickets!

or couger 2nd season in the comp now, could unleash double the runs he made last season

bloke from lutheran, cant remember his name, left hand batter, young, can hit a ball!
