Have heard on the GSCA grapevine that it is a 50/50 split on the Shoes being accpeted into GSCA. Apparently the clubs get to vote and some will and some won't vote them in. A couple of clubs have concerns regarding the "on field" culture of Noarlunga.

Having a laugh, taking the piss out of your own team mates (in good humour) and having a beer with the opposition after the game...geez what a horrible 'on field' culture that is.
We will all know by the end of May apparently.

It's not the A Grade that they are worried about it's the lower grades.

I believe a C Grade player from Noarlunga got 2 games for abusing a umpire. Maybe it's hearing something like this that has GSCA concerned about Noarlunga playing the game in the right spirit in the lower grades.

It is thats time of the year that solid stories :D get passed around. But I heard from a couple people from different associations that the GSCA is not really interested in another club joining as they like the numbers they have and the way the program works for them. I have not looked to see if this is the case. It will be interesting to see what happens come May

You wouldnt have seen much this year, and the A Grade games i played in this year apart from the first game against Flaggies (and the instigator behind the trouble was told to leave the club later on for his on field and off field antics) were played in good spirits. Especially enjoyed playing against the Porties lads because they also have a good laugh and play the game in the right spirit and are not a rabble, unlike some.

think you'll find that alot of our A grade side stayed at Porties for a few hours after the grand final to have a drink with them, Including our captain.
The same thing after the T20 grand final at bushpig park.

If you do some research, you'll find that the umpire actually made contact with that player, hence the abuse. Noarlunga decided to not go forth and report the umpire, instead deciding to just let it be for the good of the game. The umpire continued with his report though, and without even being present at the tribunal, the jury handed down a harsh punishment.

Teams can get a bit fired up and talkative at times, but it is all kept under check, shrugged off and laughed about with opposition after the game over a beer

Knowing the Hamilton side pretty well I can assure you the player that was umpiring was indeed present at the Tribunal and in fact the player got two games for abusing the umpire and offensive language as the physical contact could no tbe proved and if you read my original statement it never mentioned physical contact.

I think everyone in the Comp thought the penatly was light and would have loved to have seen the player get longer.

Anyway one player can harm a clubs reputation but on the whole Noarlunga play the game hard but fair.

Any truth to the rumour that Porties have applied to go to GSCA?? what happens if Porties gets accepted and Noarlunga doesn't?

Noarlunga won't be happy, Cove knock them off in a GF and go to ASCA and Porties knock them off in the next GF and then follow them down to Victor. How will they win that elusive A grade flag?

With both applications not getting up I wonder if the SACA had any influence.

Maybe they will have to put Plan B in place RTTT
