We had a lot of injuries and had big unavailability problems this year. No excuses we didnt make the finals. However we missed the finals by 0.2 points due to a 3 point deduction. After Christmas we beat Paralowie, Rose PArk, The eventual premiers Para Vista and didnt get to play you guys because of heat (which prob cost us in the end). We only lost to Nek in the last game. So our form wasnt too bad, arguably better than Morialta's. We did put some average sides on the park this year for various reasons, and our bowling attack was like the walking wounded at times. However, you only have to make finals (as weve proven over the last couple of years) to give yourself a chance and we were desperately close to doing that. Bring on next year!

Why then did your captain against us in the last game of the regular season when we went in to bat again bowl about 6 or 7 different bowlers in a 15 over session?? if you had taken a wicket or two then you would have made it through..... poor captaining by not evaluating your teams position?

Easy one, Giggs, Smith, Bourke were all injured (and i was unavailable because i was keeping)

You make me laugh so much pidge   are you going to back up anything you say with some sort of truth of meaning or a little bit of anyting?

Lets see, can i spell it out for you! In both games Morialta played against Fitzoy, Morilata batted first and made a small total for Fitzroy to chase! And then in both games Morialta proceeded to bowl Fitzroy out for a lesser total, therefore winning th game!!!!!!! And if i can remember correctly, you were batting at 10 or 11 and had the chance to make 10 or so runs to win the game for your side and what happened? i got you out on both occasions to win the game for MORIALTA! Havnt you learnt how to even hold a bat? as i said before, how do you not rate a side you cant even beat?

Do you know why you would say arguably the best team after christmas? because everyone would argue that fact, hence you didnt even make the finals!

mate, you bringing up excuses and then say no excuses!! i could go on and on about players that should have been there but couldnt through being unavailable and injured and we should have won at least three more games i can think of. But you cant make excues! you should have prooven that when you had a full strength side against us the last time you played us, but you still couldnt beat us!

1st of all congrats Ecky and Adel Lutheran on the flag! def. like the board lol!!

2nd wow its amazing i get on tonight and abuse is flying everywhere and im not involved!! YIPPEE FOR ME!!!

Hagedis, have a think about it son, your sides batting displays were easily the worst in div 1. The fact you made finals doesnt mean your a gun side and personally you were probably lucky to play given some off the performances. Your side was so erratic with its results and even the semi final proved to lack any "fizz".

8 team comp would be great i think, i dont believe there is much difference between div 1 & 2. Proof is easy to find.. Fitzroy, Rose Pk, Adel Lutheran, Paralowie, NEK all have spent some time in divvy 2 over the past 5 or so seasons. Throw in PV, Morialta and maybe a Western XI and suddenly you have 8 sides capable of competing!

Sat, Sun finals frees up a couple weekends in the season, and put the stupid heat policy back to 40 degrees!!

with comments like these I can't understand why you would ever get abused?????

Its a bit harsh Mr gobbler! coming from someone that left morialta to chase a div 3 premiership! congrats mate!
and as for saying that we we easily the worst batting side in div 1, why don't you go and play for Fitzroy, rose park or Paralowie(except the last game we were cruising and lost late wickets to hand them a spot in the finals) who couldn't pass the total we set each week, we just couldn't match it against PV an NEK who had it over us all year! Look at the two A grade semi final games, we made 150 and lost, NEK made 160 and won, you cant say we didn't put up a half decent effort

I never said we were a gun side, I just can stand people like pidge, who talk s**t when they have nothing to back it up! and in this instance yourself also!

Besides our average team score for the year was 158 anything over 150 is pretty much defendable so i think we were pretty much on par this season and besides it dont matter , coz we backed up our batting with our bowling and fielding to get to the finals thats how we got there might I add that our highest score this year was 218 and not only did we do that against arguably the best bowling side but we also done that without MYSELF! ;) which I have no doubt i would have hit a couple of hundred to win the game for us and thats me being modest hahahahaha

Might I also add mr gobler that you chose to play div 3 last year and even played a couple of games in div 5
when you could easily play a higher grade and you say the only reason is that your thinking of retirering
for the 3rd year in a row pffft I say you stop running your mouth and come out and play against these teams that we play week in week out and then we will see who hasnt got the best average in the league (you) ;)
