We know he enjoyed his time with us and achieved what he came to achieve with us in winning a premiership, managed to get two of them in fact, as well as the broken jaw :D will never forget the schnitzel he ate the next day.

He was a good player for our club and i hope he and North Haven have a good time working together.

Weren't WYC looking for a coach? Russ not up to the YC standards?

He was brought to the club as a "Junior Coach" afterall, oh and he could play A grade on the side. ;)

Nah he wasn't brought to the club as a junior coach he was brought to the club as a senior coach.

and he could play a grade on the side ;)

Had plenty of good junior coaches there at the time.

Just would like to wish Russell the bet of luck at NHCC and hope his form continues from this year till next year.

Definitely the most entertaining batter iv played with and hope his form continues out there.

He provided the most inspirational and the most dedicated innings I'll never forget. Thanks for the premiership rusty and may the rest of luck come your way.

Thanks for your services mate, but go the youth centre :)

My club Hamilton have just joined the Association. I think we have been put into Section 6. Looking forward to the new competition and different teams to play.

Welcome TC, hope your club enjoy's the experience.
Here are a few things you need to know about ASCA.
1) Everybody loves Keswick
2) Everyone hates WYC, except Morphy Parks for some reason ;)
3) Supplying beer for the opposition at your home ground is compulsory
4) If you play Kenilworth at home in the Parklands, you must consume at least 1 bucket of KFC per team at afternoon tea
5) Andrew Wright is THE best umpire in the comp
6) If you play at Hackham oval and hit a 4, or god help us a 6, you must raise your bat
7) We have the softest hot weather policy in Australia, calling a "Summer" sport off at 40 degrees. Keswick want this changed to 27
8 ) LBW's, run outs, stumpings, caught behinds, caught in slips, do not exist in sections 3 down. In fact you mainly have to clean bowl batsmen to make sure of getting a wicket.
9) Team sheets do not have to given to the oppositio until half way through day 2 in case you need to change your side 5 times & bring in a "ring in"
10) The people who do the scorebooks are utter professionals, and you will never see a mistake, they always will be neat and readable, and they will ALWAYS add up.
Anyway, good luck champ.

We arn't a young side thats for sure. We do indeed have a couple blokes over 60 and another over 50 and a majoirty are in there 30's and 40's with a few blokes in their early 20's.

We are made up of guys who are past their best, guys just out for a bit of fun and beer at the Pub after and a few talented blokes that can't train so they just come out and play.

We are looking forward to playing some 2 Day Cricket to give everyone a decent crack as last year in the SCA c Grade we only played 4 Two Day games and 10 One Day games which made it very hard to keep everyone involved.

Nothing wrong with that. Sounds like a good mix to me.
As for going to the pub, well, isn't that the main reason to play sport after all? Not that a fine athlete like myself condones excessive drinking, but I do know that there are some people out there less dedicated to sporting perfection than myself. O:-)
