10 years ago plympton oval was an absolute bowling green, best in the comp without any doubt, but the wear and tear of 3 senior footy sides, 3 senior soccer sides, 10 junior footy sides and 7 junior soccer sides takes its toll, especially seeing that these sides refuse to move a few training sessions during the year to give the oval the r&r that it needs.

one thing that i will say about plympton oval is that it recovers superbly, if our batting innings recovered as well as the grass does we'd be top!

the oval at the moment is rubbish, but not through any fault of the pfcc, but i wouldnt say its a bad place to play cricket by any stretch. if plympton oval is the worst oval in the div (and i wont say comp, because the entire comp has some adsolute shockers) then adelaide & suburban section one grounds must be going ok i reckon!

best facilities in the comp, yes, but right at this stage not the best surface, and the pitch is due for a relaying, but that happens every 4-5 years.

ramblers, best shop, joans pantry! a bit of passionfruit cheesecake never hurt anyone!

I would have to say ours is up there Jabber.

Last year it was the Sect 1 clubs that had the bye. Looks like that has changed. Coro vs ICC first up with Clapham, St George and Belair getting the bye?? Interesting.

Thats what they did! Should of just seeded sides, with the bottom sides playing against each other to earn the right to play against section 1 sides. Thats IMO.

When there is no bye involved, i am a fan of the random draw out of the hat however!

They should introduce an entry fee, with the cash given to the winner.

Tried saying that last year. Werent happy with my idea Jabber. Thats moving forwards to creating a better t20 comp. Wouldnt want that to happen

Its either that or finish the games after the cricket season. I think thats why the association started the t20 comp early. There is a long weekend to play some games in that time period.

Shouldnt be too hard to organise i wouldnt think!

Bullshit Fixture we have footy finals for the next 2 weeks and the week after being AFL Grand Final weekend. We also have football Presentations on the Sunday after the GF which several of our players will be attending. Long weekend is a "culture weekend" for the Internationals and cant play and day light savings hasnt started we made a semi last year looks like we may go out to a coin toss shocking fixturing.
