I voted yes to the survey and am very happy saca provided a chance for us to play 20/20... so are a lot of the other young blokes that play.

TAB 20/20 for the lower grades IMO is a good idea as it breaks up the season a bit and gives everyone a chance to play that form of the game, hence why i voted yes as a skipper! But the points system isnt equal for all teams as i highlighted above and that is the only issue really.

20/20 games now feature as part of the Under 17 and Under 19 national championships. In the U17 carnival played here in January, we played 2 20/20 matches, some one-day matches and two 2-day matches.
Can't just blame SACA for introducing them.

Yes, very cold summer ahead at Henley if the rumour is confirmed. A Blizzard is on its (his) way!

would make the trip from state to club training a little easier though, if he is one of the few players that still attend club trainings

Peoples thought on the inclusion of the underage squads in the grade cricket comp this year????

Personally i think its a huge step in the right direction as some of these lads may not have the current oppurtunity to play at either A or B grade level at thier current club (mind you if you werent in either of those grades and playing in the 19's, serious questions would have to be asked). Great work SACA's

Are these "bye" matches for points?

If they are and the clubs play at full strength I can't see the under age sides being all that competitive.

Under 19 squad appears to be light on in the pace bowling and batting areas and competant in spin.

Under 17 squad would look likely to get smashed at B grade level.

Looks like the U19 matches are part of the 1 day comp and will be for points.

I doubt the U17 matches are though.

How does the U19 work though, what if a player plays for Port Adelaide and the U19's. What team is he tied to for the 1 day comp?

The udner 17 matches are not for points.

I imagine this will be a 'who wants game this weekend'? sort of thing at most clubs: promoting juniors and the like.

Good match play for the under 17's, but won't be taken too seriously due to the lack of points on offer.

I can see the 19's lads chasing a fair bit of leather around various suburban ovals this year... evn the squad lads from the gully agree.

CHING CHING CHING
Which A grade club batting trophy winner, was SACKED from his club by the coach for stealing over a $K from a club function night only for the players to argue that he remain at the club, and then for this player in question to do a backflip on those who stuck up for him and supported him and has moved to a new grade club with little less then a phone call to the captain offering some very weak excuses about higher opportunity??? almost a shame they dont play each other untill round 10
