Well, the bevvies flowed freely at Chateau De` Cuz into the wee hours of this morning, with the host putting in a post-match BOG performance 'at home'.. It's been a while since we truly celebrated a Div 1 premiership win (yes BB, last season's flag was hollow.. ), so this one was real sweet. Celebrating 2 premierships within your Club also doesn't happen each year, and well done to our B Grade boys, great bunch of lads.

Full credit to NEK for giving it a solid crack yesterday - 244 would win you probably 8-9 GF's out of 10. Congrats to Millsy for his quality strokeplay and innings and Baldo for his 6-for last week and a few massive balls when he batted yesterday. Above all else, they are a great bunch of blokes - play it hard and have a beer together afterwards. It's what it's all about and a large number of teams in all Divisions should take a leaf from their book and show some humility and respect for their opponents - and for the game of cricket itself - regardless of what happens on the field. NEK are a credit to themselves and their Club, and their captain deserves special recognition for the way he plays the game and the way he conducted himself yesterday.

Cheers for the kind words!, Agree with you completely! it was played in a very good spirit! 2 sides with mutual respect, hard at it on the field and good blokes off. Congrats to the PV boys and to my lads, one day boys! not too far away i don't think, hold your heads high.

i liked the sledging when i came into bat too!

looking forward to beating your asses next year!

how did u pull up this morning pist

Phantom there is only one thing worse than a poor loser and that is a poor winner , however I would expect nothing less from the immature attention seeking exhibitionists that you are . Having played in premierships previously I derived my pleasure from sharing our success not focusing on the other teams loss and at times having respect and empathy for thier situation . Its my opinion that you obviously get your enjoyment from different sources than myself . Instead of taunting the Enfield Div 5 boys I suggest you direct your ridicule toward myself . I believe it was my mistake that cost us the flag by putting down a catch when a batsman was on less than double figures and he went on to make a matchwinning 56 not out . I am man enough to take reasponsability for that and my only regret is unintentionally letting my mates down but Im sure they are well aware it did not come about due to lack of desire or application . That is the highs and lows of sports and I will live to fight another day endeavouring not to make the same mistake again . Your comments seem ironic considering you were at my club after the game and yet did not have the courage to look me in the eye , which I think is a direct reflection on the type of person that you are . It was out of respect for my fellow team mates and club members that I showed restraint and did not vent my feelings toward you . The gloves are off you have crossed the line of no return and be assured there will be a time you will reflect on this situation with much regret . By the way I will confirm your presumption and inform you that this is Grant a proud member of a team full of great blokes . DING DING

Bored, ive played cricket for 10 years and have never had a runout. Now im not sure if thats because im athletic and a gun fielder and people dont take quick singles when the ball is hit in my direction. However when the day occurs when i get a runout, ill be claiming every bit of glory i can get. There is no such thing as "ass" .......... unless your a bowler.
