Geez the A2 premiership is wide open...the team that was 8th on friday night could win it. Maybe the 10 team comp is a good idea?

Yeah, Reynella did well to come back from there.
Seems your B's went fairly close to sneaking in too. Fell 11 runs short, lost the last 6/62 and left nearly 5 overs in the shed!!!

As for the 10 team comp, in A4 you have Gepps Cross in the four despite only winning 2 games since rd 2!!!
Not sure we want to be rewarding mediocrity!

They still made 300 odd batting second which was pretty impressive against a genuine top 2 side.

The heated games and a wash out have contributed to a really close comp....but i see what you are saying. Our B's missed by .25 and certainly didnt deserve to be in finals.

Not sure they (PAOC) are a genuine top 2 side to be honest! Heard they only got 2 wins against the top 7???

For mine, the top 2 are:
Goodwood are class after 4 or 5 new faces into the A's have added real depth to the club.
Fulham should have been up in A3 by now had it not been for their inability to work out how to turn the sprinklers off.

Nothing wrong with it.
If they are no good then they will get done by the top team in the first final.
If they have a day out and beat the top side in the semi then so be it.
That's cricket mate and it shouldn't be any other way.

Have no problem with them being in the semi and good luck to them if they can string a game or two together. Just don't think that's a case to use to support the 10 team comp.
We only got 15 weeks of cricket this year. That's not enough.

the funny thing is that Gepps have already earned promotion to A3 next season as have Fulham as a club's B Grade side cannot play higher than A4.

PAC best bowling side, most depth, followed by Goodwood. Goodwood stronger with bat.
Grange most match winners, team to beat. Bottom few players just out there to help fill gaps in the field.
Didn't play vs Pooraka, boys reckon Travis bowls well though.

That is Fulham's A-grade, so will be promoted.
But yes, Gepps will be promoted as both Goodwood and PAOC can not as they are B-grade teams.
Having said that, if they go back to the 12 team comp, then all 4 will get promoted, along with Reynella, Flinders Park and Golden Grove.

Were discussing A4, but agree with your assessment of the A1 comp.
Pooraka will be interesting after coming up from A2. I tipped them to be strong, even with their outs form last year. I recon the final 4 is about right. Payneham will be disapointed to spend that much and still miss.
Pooraka perhaps a little too reliant on a couple with the bat (only 2 blokes past 200 for the season, while Goodwood have 5, Grange and PAOC 3 each).

They did play for first innings points.
Batted first and made a mediocre score.
Then had to bowl the opposition under that.
How is that not playing for first innings points?
