Ramblers 9/143 after their 20. South Road got them in the 18th over with 5 wickets to spare.

Little surprising to see Sheidow smashed by Plympton in the other game.

Giersch, Naismith, Pritchard and pomeroy must of all contributed for them to beat Sheidow I would imagine?

We went there in 2005, awesome trip, we went by bus and was smashed by the time we got there after the 5 hour trip. The ride home, not so good.

We have been to Wallaroo the last 2 years, great place, under 2 hours away, 4 pubs and cheap accommodation.

Giersch 2 fa
Naismith dnb
Pritchard bowled one over went a bit like this 6,6,6,4,2,1
Pomeroy out within first two overs.
It was the shinny performance of McCrea 4 fa and batted the whole innings that probably helped us over the line

I'm sure a number of clubs have this problem. It still baffles me that there is no stand alone one day comp for clubs to enter teams and that the 7+7 comp only lasted 1 year. Surely we can agree the cricket landscape is changing. People's time is precious, why not support a little bit of innovation and get out of the dark ages. We've recently established that the clubs run ASCA so how about we start voting some of these ideas in at AGM's?

Best country location for a footy trip so it should be a cracker of a cricket trip. Don't forget to swim across the Murray at Swan Reach and have a bloke ready with a beer from the pub at the other side.

Our club doesn't want a one-day comp so won't vote for it. Too many blokes don't get to bat in one dayers and we'd have to do selection every week. We have an excess of players coming through from juniors who we want to play 2-day cricket to prepare them for Sect 1-3 cricket. If blokes can only play one week we can still give them half a game if another player can also swap. A one-day comp supports lazy clubs.

Bit hypocritical of the association seeing as something similar happened last year in section 1 ;) ...... Surely playing a one day game and getting people playing the game of cricket is better than a forfeit ? thought that was what the association is about ........

That's a little rich! Suggesting clubs are lazy for wanting a one-day comp but then suggesting that it would be too much of an imposition for your club to do selection every week.

We'd rather put our efforts into juniors and building the club than extra selections...

I haven't seen any benefits to other associations who operate a one-day comp - it's often at the detriment of the higher grades.

I think the way the Association is set up with players interchanging is fine and still allows guys working to play. Becomes very hard to ensure everyone gets a decent go in One Day games, especially in lower grades were guys are playing for the love of the game and giving blokes a go is important.

Grade cricket are playing this year for the first time that I can remember. Otherwise the season will have to finish on the Easter weekend. If that didn't fall in March this season dare say we wouldn't be playing this weekend either....

My tips for this weekends games at the half way point.

Sharks v Keswick - Keswick will win with a big score too much for Sharks. Ledgard will need to make a big score for sharks to come close.
WYC v Belair - WYC with too many runs on the board
South Road v North Haven - South Road will get up comfortably.
Plympton v Morphy Parks - Morphy parks will get up in a tight one.
Ramblers b Glenelg - Ramblers will get up. But we will need to bowl well as we respect the tiger bats alot but were confident in our attack led by recruit Tom Edwards, the kid can bowl some fierce leg spin!
Coro v Cove - Cove will win, even though Coro got some early wickets Cove still have some very big weapons still in the shed. Battle of the frontrunners and this week should settle who is favourite.

Who would have thought little old Morphy Parks would be undefeated after 4 games, especially after losing the great Rob McCard. ;)
