Our under 15's and the seniors. He mainly focused on the young seniors between the ages of 15-21. But also he coached whoever else wanted help.

Well he should be able to devote more time to that now. We have a bloke looking to do the same at our club which is handy.

We don't have a coach tho. How many clubs have coaches? Paid or not? We have had coaches but has never been a paid position.

coaches are waste of time, if you have a good A grade captain that should do

not if there a good coach then its not a waste of time!!

We have never had a good coach CK, never.

Like most clubs in our grade players approach to training is far too lack lustre and unless you approach someone for some tips you dont get coached. Dont try to tell me otherwise.

* Foot note - CK played Juniors at our club which does have coaching *

Couple of Cove boys have asked us bout training dates although i doubt we'll get any. Probably looking for some cash but its in our constition that we dont pay anyone from coaches, players etc etc.

which cove players TL?? have heard they have retained the same A grade list for a very good crack at three in a row

Nah no one like that mate haha I think its a few footballers wanting to play down the grades a few joking around saying they want the red carpet and cash just saying we dont pay any players thats all.

I think Pressy and Kingy have made a good effort of helping other players out with tips the last few years without being asked, but as a rule you are right unless you ask you don't get much help.

The attitudes of the players at a club will always dictate how successful a coach is IMHO. At our club a coach will be useless unless the players make the effort to listen and do what he is recommending.

didnt say we had/hadnt a good coach.

I said, "not if there a good coach then its not a waste of time!!". Relating to the job of a coach in general.

Thought u would have read the post a bit more booney before u made such a rash response ;)

Our juniors didnt have coaches when i was there. It was run by the kids :)

There have been plenty of good :partyman: coaches at the WYC REB. There are a new breed coming through though and unless you have smashed down a tower at the hilton you can't call yourself a true WYC person ;) ;) .

it will never be like that again Booney times have changed, you old fart  ;) .

If you want that go to the southwark. :D

As i said the new breed say that chugging back a tower is the way to be included, once that is done you are right to go.

Or if you ask BMAC or JWKDD the chaser run isn't an easy feat. I got there in the end though :D .

We will more than likely be playing a trial against Sheidow Pk. It will probably only be under 21 players at this stage.

The first draft of the fixture was compiled on the weekend, so we should see it tonight.

Ramblers are possibly playing Happy Valley in a trial.
