no sh*t! he almost took my head off with one that bounced just a little shorter than normal! just glad i got the bat in the way! How come you guys didnt have Gorski at the other end though? the guy that opened with Baldo just seemed to let some pressure off and seemed to lose his confidence easily, but i guess that the winds yesterday didnt help that.

Rich and JS were just awesome. it was a pleasure sitting on the sidelines watching them go at it. they certainly saved us expecially when we lost those 3 quick wickets and were 3/38 and then once they got themselves set they just went about scoring runs. Now we just need to back that up in the field and with the ball. We all know that the ground is quick and small and NEK have the guys to make those runs. Should be a very good second week!

automaticwicky wrote:****, 300 and **** 43. thats huge. Congrats on the hundreds boys, that **** massive in a gf. Nek is a smallish and fast ground, but its gonna take some batting to get that. The subway corporate tent might be the place to be next week! Cant believe Methos conceded victory on day one.

Methos were already a fair way behind and would have had to get 17 cheap wickets next week along with at least 150 runs. i can see why they did it, but its a GF. there is no coming back next week, why wouldnt you give it a go?!?!?

yeah thorpe just had 1 of those days, as did i and a few others in the side. we are looking forward to the chase and feel that the start is vital.as long as we have wickets in hand with about 15 overs to go, we have the cattle to give it a good shake

Yeah, Baldings a fair bowler, nearly took my head off earlier in the year, somehow, and im still not sure how, i got outa the way. He remarked to my batting partner that he was glad it missed coz it would have killed me. Very next ball was a little less short and i ducked into it, got me in the shoulder which bruised for a coupla weeks. I always have a harder time with shoulder bowlers, theres no rhythm. And how hard does he chuck the ball from fineleg! Def one of the best bowlers in our comp.
